I recently went in to sell some of my kids clothes. These clothes were either new with tags still on or worn once maybe maybe twice. 95% of the stuff I brought in were name brand and expensive. Out of about 100 items they picked 62, pair of Jordan’s, lots of Nike track and sweat suits, polo jeans and sweaters, lots and lots of Zara clothes. They took in all the high end clothes. I was told I was going to get 50% of 40% of what the cloths price (~20%). I was offered $78 for 62 items that cost me over $1500. They gave me about 1.25 per item. That was about 5% of what we paid. At which point I decided to leave the store and give away the clothes rather than have a store rip me off to make a profit. If you have cheap clothes, go ahead and sell it there. They’ll pay you per item. These guys claim to use a computer system to determine the value of your clothes, but they don’t. If they did, they wouldn’t have offered what they did. Even if these clothes were past season and in clearance, and I still only were to only receive 20% for them. It will be well over $78. It’s good if your going to shop, but don’t sell your stuff to this store. YOU’LL BE MAKING A GREATER SERVICE DONATING THEM OR GIVING THEM AWAY, THEN SELLING IT TO STORE THAT’S TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF.
Also I want to add the whole experience was really sketchy. Once they reviewed all the items, all they said was “We’re going to give you $78 for these 62 items and giving you back the rest.” Immediately after that without been given a chance to acknowledge anything they were handing me cash and a receipt ( as if they wanted to get rid of me). I was rushed, they offered no explanation, and it was as if they wanted to get the transaction done quickly so that I wouldn’t noticed that I was being ripped off. When I asked to look at what they decided to take, they huddled together and whispered amongst themselves while starring at us. The lady who handed us the clothes simply placed our bin on the floor while rolling her eyes at us. The place smells like vomit, needs to be cleaned, and employees need and...
Read moreI brought in clothes to sell for the first time including several (lightly used or brand new) expensive name brand bamboo sleepers and sleep sacks and they were unaccounted for after I handed over my bags. When they had my offer ready I went through the clothes that they said that they wanted and I saw that none of the Bamboo or boutique items were in that bag(and the offer was very low) so I just figured that they put it in my other bag with the stuff that they rejected. My baby was screaming at the checkout, so I didn’t have time to check the bag that they rejected. I just trusted that all the other things were there. I had over 30 items mostly brand new or only worn once or twice and they offered me $34. It was fine because I didn’t see any of the boutique items in the pile that they wanted and I just wanted to get rid of the clothes. However upon arriving home and looking in the bag of stuff they rejected, I realized that none of the Bamboo/botique items were there. These well-known brand items were purchased at $30-50 a piece, so we are talking several hundred dollars worth of items missing. It was my mistake in trusting that this was an honest establishment. I would advise you to be very thorough and make sure that all of your items are accounted for if you continue to do business with them. I am very disappointed and I won’t be returning or recommending this store to anyone I know.
Unrelated to the aforementioned incident, there is a very low standard for clothing sold here. Many of the clothes have stains and...
Read moreI frequent this shop every the months while in the area for a doctor's appointment. A few years ago when I discovered this shop it was a gem! The clothes were used but top quality. No stains or rips, no heavy wear. I visited 3mths ago and I noticed a big change in the quality and the condition that they are excepting clothing for resale. I figured it was because all the good things were already gobbled up and I had just had bad timing. I returned again yesterday and I was thoroughly disappointed! I will not waste my time at this location again. The racks were full but the clothing choices were slim and they are carrying a lot of Target/ Walmart quality clothing which is fine if they were not heavily worn and or stained! When I shop at a place like this, I'm going on to get quality brand name, gently used items at a discount! Slim to none on the pickings! FYI... i'm not one to buy used shoes but if I were it definitely would not happen here!! The shoes are very worn and dirty! If I had to scrub them before someone could wear them I wouldn't buy them! I hope this is a phase this shop is going through but I won't be making any further visits here! Not worth my time. *One thing I noticed and I'd like to add is they do carry a lot of baby items... bassinets, strollers, pack n plays, bouncy chairs things of that nature. I've never had a need to purchase those things but if I did in the future I would check them out for those...
