Shake It Off — Attraction in Town of Greenburgh

This review is long overdue, but I wanted to share my experience - we booked a movement/dance entertainment package for my 1 year old sons birthday at our home. The studio wasn’t open in July 2022, so we were okay with hosting ourselves. The two facilitators arrived (one very casual, another in pajama pants) and did basic dances and choreography; they had a parachute which was a fun element and there were about 8-10 kids including babies, toddlers, to 8 year olds. Although the package states it’s 40-45 minutes long, they arrived right on time, and had their things packed by the 40 minute mark. The two staff didn’t do anything to make the experience memorable, it seemed like another party to get through for the day. The business never reached out for a review or to check-in on the experience, which also surprised me by such a well known and established local business. I had learned about this business through a Facebook moms group. Unfortunately this experience disregarded the business entirely for me for additional birthday & event planning and I can’t recommend it based on my experience, but perhaps in the future we’ll give it a try again. Our 5 year old twins attended Shake it Off's Unicorn and Dragon camp a few weeks ago and had an absolute blast! Typically when they are in a "long" class they come home asking us to pick them up earlier. This was NOT the case with Shake it Off, which was surprising since the camp ran from 9am-3pm and was the longest program the girls have ever attended on their own. The girls never wanted to leave because they were having so much fun! Between all the artwork, crafts, unicorn/fairy dances, dress up and bouncing, the girls were in their happy place.

The staff is incredible!! Ramya goes above and beyond to make sure every camper is happy, having fun and well fed! One morning when I was dropping off the girls, I noticed Ramya on the floor comforting another camper who was having a difficult time leaving his parents. The patience, love and positive energy that Ramya was emitting was completely heart-warming to witness. It made me feel good knowing that I was leaving the girls in such a caring and loving environment.

My kids LOVE Shake it Off! I have a 6-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl and so far we have done two sessions of Art and science, one Hip Hop, and one night of a special pop up princess snowflake Ball (meeting, dancing and pictures with princesses. Crafts, pizza and cupcakes). We've met many friends through these classes and events and have even brought our friends to join us. There's always something fun, exciting and creative to do in the Art and Science. I love the art and science classes in particular because I can bring both of my kids at the same time and they both have interest in the science part of the classes and always come home with something wonderful that they have created during the art portion. This business is in scarsdale, right on Central Avenue so it's super convenient with plenty of parking and it's a huge brand new space with party rooms and dance studios. Some of their classes are even drop off classes so your kids can have fun for an hour and Mom can get a break. Definitely worth a try, they do offer some of the classes as a trial before you sign up if there is space and they are offered at different times, days...
