Initially, I was skeptical about ordering from here because why would a bagel shop have less than a 4.8 rating? What could possibly be so difficult about making bagels? It didnât take long for me to find out... the woman taking orders at the front made that clear.
I ordered a pumpernickel everything bagel, toasted hard, with butter, jalapeño, and vegetable cream cheese. She quickly interrupted and said, âYou mean well done.â In my head, I thought, are we not in New York, and are you not working in a bagel shop? But I let it go and said, âYes, well done.â
Then she said, âYou want jalapeño with vegetable cream cheese?â I honestly wasnât sure if she was trying to run an English class, but if so, it wasnât going well. I corrected her and replied, âYes, jalapeño and vegetable cream cheese.
When the bagel came out of the toaster, I noticed she began spreading on the cream cheese without putting on the butter first. I politely reminded her, âDonât forget the butter.â Instead of simply adding it, she raised her voice and said in a condescending tone, âSo you want butter, vegetable cream cheese, AAAANNNDD jalapeño cream cheese?â
The bagel was about $8, which is pretty standard these days, but it was just okay. The cream cream cheese taste a little stale. I usually go to Panera Bread up the street, but I came here for my favorite cream cheese mix. Also, the quality of the service affected the whole experience.
I hope this feedback is helpful and leads to improvements. I may try again in...

Read moreI recently discovered this place and since I'm a Long Island native I had to check them out.
Food: Healthy cranberry apple tuna salad was great tasting! I got it on a bagel. Bagels are about $2.95 each the "sandwich" cost $12.95. Incredibly pricey for what I ordered. They said it came with a salad and pickle, but I wasn't looking for a "meal".
Service: Staff was busy, but the young gentlemen at the counter answered a handful of questions I asked with upbeat energy and was very nice.
Atmosphere: CLEAN, organized, and fresh looking food. Everything looked easy to find. Even the grill they cook on looked clean and up to code. Lights all working and walls and objects didn't look dim or yellow from being old. Great condition! Outside was raving half crescent flags to draw attention and it def made it look fresh and new or top notch.
The only reason for not 5 stars is because the prices were just...
