Big 99¢ — Local services in Town of Hempstead

The service is horrible! Nothing in the store is 99 cents. I went to the store to purchase a few items & there was 2 registers one for cash & one for credit. I went to a young Indian woman who was ringing on the cash register, she took my purchase and threw the items to the side & crumpled my money and threw it on the counter. She thought it was funny. I replied “to refund me my money” A older Indian woman came over and was apologetic and told her “no you don’t do that”. I will not patronize this store no more!!! The level of...

This store is amazing! I was told it was big so I scheduled my visit to not feel pressured for time. It was my first time there and I was impressed with the variety of merchandise it offered. I found items that I haven't been able to find in other stores. I even bought a toy for my son's dog. :) The store is well maintained and the service is good. Although there were several customers, I did not have to wait long to check out as there was more than one register opened. I will definitely be returning to shop...

Wall to wall chaos in this more than overcrowded 99 Cent hub... And the question of the day: What in this establishment is really 99 Cents? I miss the days of the original "five and dime" stores, where EVERYTHING was orderly including the proprietors and the customers. With all the clutter on the shelves mixed with a never ending contingency of customers navigating the aisles-- the place is an accident waiting...
