krafty Hands Merrick — Local services in Town of Hempstead

Ok so I will try to share my experience as accurately as possible. The party setup was slightly disorganized and the staff should have been more involved with the kids. HOWEVER, when I expressed this to the manager Massom (not sure if I spelled that correctly, but rhymes with awesome) she was totally understanding and said to me “please tell me what you were unhappy with, we are a small business and we want to learn”. She was so sincere that it made me realize that sometimes we set expectations that are a bit extreme and not practical. Look, my daughter and her friends had an awesome time, and her cousin who is 5 years older than my daughter sincerely told me, when comparing this to birthdays she had been to, that this party was a good one. I give this business 5 stars because at the end of the day my daughter and her friends loved the place and the owner/manager was a sincere human being, a person like all of us just trying to make it in this world. This place is amazing. I booked a party somewhat last minute for my daughter in December, and they made it easy to arrange. However, the amazing part came the day of the party. Due to miscommunication, we realized I was booked at the wrong location. The owner of the merrick store, who happened to be there, invited the unexpected guests in and spoke to the team at the Syosset store. Within 20 minutes, the team from syosset showed up to the merrick store with all the supplies, pizza and party favors I had ordered. All the while she, the owner, was getting my daughter and guests going on their science experiment (last minute) while they traveled over. Amazing people, amazing team!!!! Had my daughter birthday there and it was the most unorganized party I have ever been to. The lady said there would be couple of Workers and herself. There was only one young girl that seemed like she wasn’t experienced at all. The place was dirty my husband cleaned the bathroom cause it was gross. The owner”s communication was terrible. I told her I wanted certain things for food and she said ok the. At the party she said she needed two wks notice for sandwiches. She was also on the phone most of the party and blamed me for the timing being off instead of trying to fix the issues.
