Francesca's Salon — Local services in Town of Hempstead

I needed a blowout and curls for a wedding I was attending over the weekend and I couldn’t do it at my regular salon near my home. I frequent the Levittown area quite often so for this purpose I needed a salon in this area. Looked up a few and received a good feeling about Francesca’s. They are very efficient as they take all your details such as name, phone number, email address so you can get alerts about your appointment. I personally appreciate it. Carmen washed and did my blow out with curls. I have long hair and she did a wonderful job. I got compliments about my hair and posted on my social media where people commented as well. She was a doll and very professional. Her mom owns the salon! That would be Francesca. The staff there were all sweet. The salon is welcoming and they sell costume jewelry and various house decor. I bought a ring to compliment my outfit for the wedding. Not too much and displayed tastefully. I was pleased with Carmen on what she did with my hair. Definitely on my to go list in the area when needed. Highly recommend...

Though I have had good experiences with this salon before, I wouldn't recommend it for double processing or color specialization. During my last visit, I got a chemical burn after expressing discomfort on my scalp, which the owner had dismissed as a beauty mark, and my hair had experienced noticable breakage. Perhaps it was a fluke but it seems that the owner was careless with my process and did not handle my complaints/concerns professionally.

Very disappointed and upset with the outcome. I went in asking for blonde highlights and was convinced to get a double process. After 4 hours in the chair with Leighanna Silvestro the color came out TERRIBLY! MY roots turned orange ( should have been brown) and my highlights which should have been blonde, turned blueish grey. I pointed out the color mistake and was told by Leighanna Silvestro and Carmen Abbatiello that nothing was wrong with my color. Francesca had to intervene and attempt to fix my color.
