Lily's of the Valley — Local services in Town of Highlands

I recommended and used this flower shop for my sister’s wedding, and it was a complete disaster. The bride’s bouquet was not what we saw and ordered from the store catalog. The bouquet flowers started coming out the moment the flower was delivered (a few minutes before the bride walked down the aisle). The fresh flowers for the cake were pretty much dead and looked extremely old despite spending hours in the fridge before the the cake was brought out. After the wedding was over, I went to the store to explain how things turned out; however, the owner, Janet, became confrontational and irate. I explained and made it clear to her that I wasn’t there to ask for money return; I just wanted her to be informed about the situation, so the store employees wouldn’t ruin another wedding. We had Lily’s of the Valley do the flowers for my son and new wife’s wedding and working with Janet was an absolute DREAM! None of us live in NY so it was important to hire a professional who knows their stuff and that is Janet and her team. They were excellent communicators, extremely well priced and went above and beyond to make the vision we had come to life. The wedding and reception were held on West Point and the Thayer so they’ve done numerous events at these venues which helps to eliminate any guess work or questions regarding rules. I really wanted to keep my vendors as local as possible and I am Fort Montgomery so I naturally looked at Lily’s of the Valley and I couldn’t be happier that I chose them! I had a really tight budget so my flowers were the last thing I booked and Janet was incredible, she took my very general ideas and turned it into something gorgeous.
