Beacon Computers Inc — Local services in Town of Huntington

I spilled a full cup of coffee on my computer. I thought it was ruined; I for sure thought that I'd just lost all my personal and some of my business data.

I was quoted an estimate from Beacon to fix my computer that was MORE THAN HALF in price compared to what my computer's manufacturer quoted me. Not only did Beacon fix my computer, but it actually seems to be operating better than before the spill.

Technical skills aside, I cannot overstate how professional and PATIENT the staff at Beacon was with me. They were prompt in immediately informing me about the progress in getting my computer in working order. They indulged my neediness every time I inquired about how "my baby" was doing with...well, kind honesty. In other words, they didn't lie to me and tell me what I wanted to hear. But, I think they knew all along that they would fix it. And fix it they did! I am so grateful for the staff's competence, diligence, and earnest and successful efforts. I am so happy with their work.

I went to Beacon with a cracked screen on my laptop. Chris looked at it and he informed me that if he needed to bring the computer in the back for further assessment the cost would be $25. That $25 would go toward the repair if I chose to go through with the repair. Chris brought my computer to the back and returned with a quote. Now I didn't chose to repair my computer but I felt obligated to compensate Chris for his time and we did have a verbal contract. Chris would not accept payment. . Straight up scam, brought my computer here a while ago with a graphics card that wouldn't update drivers and crashed constantly. Paid $100 and got told there was nothing wrong with my computer. I even brought another graphics card in for them t install and they didnt even bother after being told they would even though its a 3 minute job and the box came back looking like they played rugby with it.

Had to refund via debit card company, and then they tried to recharge my card which is fraud and I had to cancel and get it disputed again....
