Dollar Tree — Local services in Town of Islip

My husband and I just left this location and it will be the last time we goto this location. First of all when you walked in you are immediately hit in the face with the smell of pot, I personally do not care but if I had my children with me, right then we would have left. Threw out the entire store you could hear the two cashiers talking about who slept with who, who hates who, who blocked who on face book , who is friends with or sleeping with their kids friends crystal clear threw out the whole location.Two associates up front at the registers no lights on at the registers to let us know exactly what register was open. One sitting talking to the other associate, rudely snapped at my husband that she wasn't open. When we moved to the next register the cashier asked if we wanted a bag then proceeded to have her conversation with the sitting cashier. She paid no mind to us at all- the only coustomer service given was the actual act of scanning and pressing buttons on the register. Not only were we ignored but the conversation they were having over us was about rolling blunts, creepy coustomers who follow them around and people they've hooked up with or other associates that have hooked up with coustomers. I stopped in 3 weeks ago as I just happened to be in the area to search for specific chips that are a hit or miss at Dollar Tree, but I can only find it them there. The store was a mess, but what made matters worse is that 1 employee was having a conversation with a customer, but the employee spoke very loudly. The customer then asked for swedish fish but was told that the manager had dumped all the candy boxes that were stacked in the aisle & left. Then, the loud employee brought another employee to the office to discuss scheduling, but every other word was a curse. It was such poor behavior that continued as the loud employee stood by the register talk8ng to the cashier cursing & complaining about other workers. The employee did not seem phased by her language nor the volume of he speaking while customers were in the store. It was not necessarily for customers to hear that the loud employee's klonopin medication was not helping with her insomnia or the other foul things out of her mouth. Disgraceful...

I just had to write a review! I went into The Dollar Tree to order gold balloons . I had already stopped in prior to order the balloons in purple and gold for my son's high school graduation party. The store was out of the gold but took my order for the purple. I returned to the store to see if the gold balloons came in. Unfortunately they did not. The assistant store manager Brenda immediately took the matter into her hands. She began calling other stores to find me gold balloons and she called mutiple stores. Finally finding them! She asked me if I would mind going there to pick up balloons and bring them back to her and she would have them ready with my order. So I did and brought her the balloons back. I cannot thank her enough for going above and beyond to make sure she could help me make my son's graduation party all I wanted it to be. She did it with a beautiful smile on her face and with outstanding customer service ability! Kudos to her! Thanks...
