Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Town of New Hartford

I swear only one manager at this store has had any customer service training. I've had many issues with ordering at this restaurant and most of it had to do with missing items or poor quality food.

This most recent time I ordered for delivery and was missing 2 out of the 3 things I ordered, not the store's fault entirely of course, but because of that I called to ask anyone in the store if they could see if the items were still at the store. I just wanted to go and pick it up myself at this point because I knew trying to reach out through their app for a delivery was pointless after a prior missing item issue I had before. The person who answered the phone just told me my food was long gone so I asked again if they could just verify for me that my food was completely gone because then I could try and go through other means to figure out what to do for a refund. It then sounded like the phone was left on the counter top and I heard the person who answered the phone ask someone else how they were supposed to do that. I was then put on hold and hung up on.

I don't think I was asking for too much in this situation and honestly I am so tired of the poor service here that it's just not even worth going back. I really enjoyed the food and service from this place when it first opened but the lack of care for customer experience or delivery pick up is...

Wish I could give a better review as I rlly like this place’s food & smoothies. The customer service however is AWFUL. I’ve never seen a manager who clearly has not ever had customer service training. I went in to redeem my free smoothie since it was the free week for members & the cashier (who was new) had no idea how to do it which is completely fine. He was very nice. However, the manager who is named Rob btw, got pissed off at me for asking him to redeem my smoothie & said that I was in there 3 days ago since I just joined the rewards & got a free smoothie. So I argued with him saying that it was longer than that & I have photo proof too. Afterwards he told me he would NOT make me any food or anything. I once gave this place a great review. The previous manager hired my daughter and told her to wait for an email from HR. Week after, she gets told “HR is out for the week”. Ok. Week after that, she gets told HR will contact her. Next day - shit hits the fan at Tropical Smoothie and the manager gets fired. I ask the owner about my daughter she tells me have her come in. She comes in next day and meets with her. Tells her she’ll get an email from HR. A day passes. She gets an email from owner herself saying she chose not to hire her.
