Little Light of Mine Village Candle — Local services in Town of New Paltz

This is a great little shop that I am delighted to have in New Paltz. I went there for the first time recently, and was pleased by pretty much everything. The owner of the shop was in the process of making candles when we arrived, which was incredibly charming. There is a pretty large selection of dipped candlesticks of all colors and sizes, along with handmade scented jar candles that smell amazing. Hanging on a wooden ladder, there are dozens of colors of soy candlesticks, ombre colors, twisted sticks, and rolled beeswax sticks of numerous sizes. You can find a vast variety of different candle holders made of metal, glass, wood, and even geodes! All of them are pretty unique and there's something for everyone. There are stunning handmade birdhouses and other items made by Ingred's husband, which is really endearing!

On top of their fantastic selection of items, the prices of every item in the store are incredibly reasonable. My partner and I each spent $50 on our first visit. That $100 got us about 10 handmade candlesticks, a geode candle holder, two metal candlestick holders, some tealight candles, and two handmade scented jar candles (which all smell divine). You get $1 off your next jar candle if you bring the old jar back. Their handmade candles are not just inexpensive, they are extremely high quality. We tried an extra small candlestick and a large one. They burn evenly, cleanly, and for a very long time. We burned the large stick for at least 4 hours a night for three nights. There's no waste because it just burns straight to the bottom with no drips.

I am excited to go back in the future to restock my candles and to frequent the store to check their changing...

This shop has the best candles!!!! I usually buy all of my candles from here, but during the pandemic with store closures I bought a candle on amazon that was in the same price range and ....... wow. I instantly regretted that, bought a candle from the shop to replace it, and threw out the amazon candle. I forgot how spoiled I’ve been with the lovely candles from this shop. Nothing compares. They burn slowly and evenly, smell incredible, are priced incredibly fairly, are made with high quality ingredients, and the owner is lovely and so helpful!!! The owner hand makes her own candles, it makes me happy to know that the candles I burn in my home are all made...

What a little gem of a place and the sweetest owner! My partner and I were visiting New Paltz and ended our trip making candles with Ingrid. She has so many amazing scents to choose from and beautiful jars and candle toppings and more! The energy in the store is so inviting and cozy. Our candles came out absolutely gorgeous and smell INCREDIBLE! Thank you so much for such a fun ending to our magical weekend making our engagment scent candles and thank you so much for the little gift that was so thoughtful!...
