This is the cafe of my dreams. The drinks are creative and amazingly made with care, the baristas are so kind and helpful, and the rotation of events always has something fun and new in store for me to connect to my community and explore new skills!!! (Plus when they have food specials, wow, that chef is talented!!!) You can tell the owners really care about their staff and community and it brings hope to my life to be able to go to a wonderful place with wonderful humans. Bonuses: -an insane selection of over 400 board games -kid friendly, work friendly, lots of seating and free wifi -creative atmosphere -trivia night!! -local art all over the walls!! -great music selection! -their vegan pastries are INCREDIBLE All goes to say that I love this place and am...

A great place to relax with a specialty coffee and a delicious vegan pastry. My wife and I (and our pup Penny) had the pleasure of spending a few days in New Paltz, and The Gunks Gaming Guild & Cafe was definitely a highlight. The owners Rob and Amanda were very welcoming and brought out their dog Ollie to socialize with our Penny. They were even kind enough to give us a few recommendations on popular places to hike in the area. A dog friendly cafe with a great selection of specialty coffees and vegan cookies and pastries. Super cozy place for anyone looking to play games or to get some work done. Employees are very nice and they provide a lot of vegetarian options both in baked goods and meals. I recommend the mocha, the mead, and recently had their bacon breakfast burrito and loved it.

I always come here for table-top role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons, or Monster of the Week. Everyone who runs it is very very nice and accommodating.

They also have a wall full of board games to play so you'll never get board. From the classics like Monopoly and Sorry to beloved games like Scythe and Ticket to Ride, they...

Avocado toast/smashed potatoes. Standard fare, right? Not here. Elevated to a whole new level; crispy peasant bread toast, thinly sliced fresh green avocado topped with arugula dressed in vinaigrette and impossibly perfect fried eggs with brown crunchy bottoms and creamy yolks. All this on a shaded patio surrounded by wildly growing potted plants. Top it off with a delicious iced latte and you’ve got yourself a relaxing morning. Thank you to the friendly, imaginative staff.

The Gaming Guild is a great place to hang out with some friends and kill some time. They have board games where you can pay $5 a person for the whole day to play almost any game you can imagine. They have GREAT fresh pastries, and a really nice drink selection. You can even come here just to sit with your book or laptop to get some work done. Definitely a great place, and not expensive :)

The Gaming Guild is a great place to hang out with some friends and kill some time. They have board games where you can pay $5 a person for the whole day to play almost any game you can imagine. They have GREAT fresh pastries, and a really nice drink selection. You can even come here just to sit with your book or laptop to get some work done. Definitely a great place, and not expensive :)
