I will never step foot or recommend this place to anyone, I'd warn friends, family and coworkers to STAY AWAY. I had a phone screen repaired and returned several times within two months for Mike to finally get it right. The repair cost almost as much as a replacement, but he said he was able to do it, the phone in question is fairly new so I paid his quote for screen repair. Mike could have just said he can't handle the job. Instead I got horrible quality, product and service. I'd AT LEAST expect quality work for the price I paid. I had to return for the battery to be reconnected after he "finished" his first attempt, then returned again because the speaker needed to be fixed (it crackled, which it never did even after the initial screen damage). The phone was rushed to be completed, no quality check and sloppy work so much that glue blocked the camera's view inside the phone. Visible by the eye, but Mike likes to argue and blame others for quality BUT wiped the access glue out the opened phone in front of me.The part was subpar and I asked he change it for another, there were other issues with the replacement part which just didn't look right. Phones don't have wierd gaps between the body and the screen. He let me know I was the "worst ever" and "picky" but ordered a proper replacement. He replaced the top speaker too along with the second replacement screen to eliminate the crackling from his first repair attempt. I returned finally to pick up my completed repair which he handed to me through the door, no words and locked the door and walked away. I had to call him and go back AGAIN. Mike forgot to connect the bottom speaker too the motherboard. No quality check. This guy is a joke. I'm not sure how he runs this business. I am disgusted by the way he talked to me. I never raised my voice to him because I know karma will return the favor. There is no quality or training here, they slap parts together and call it a...
Read moreMike is genuinely a good guy and I've used ifixscreens to fix my phone screen before, but my experience with trying to fix my macbook pro was a very awful experience. I was confident from the start that it was a battery issue because multiple people online and someone I personally knew explained it as the same issue. The person I knew even had their battery replaced at another ifixscreens location. At first, I thought it was going smoothly. I paid for a diagnostic fee and shipping fee to their warehouse in case they couldn't fix it in house. It took 1 week less than a month to actually get my laptop back. All of the updates following up to getting it back was all "I don't know what is wrong with it" which concerned me and frustrated me. The day I was told it was ready, I was on my way, and before I was able to get there, I was told not to come today, and come tomorrow instead because it actually wasn't ready. When I finally picked it up, I was told it was an ic charging port and motherboard chip issue. I paid the fee and was happy it turned on. I was relieved, but then later that night I got a "service battery" warning. I called them back and I asked them if they saw the warning come on when it was in the warehouse but they said "no" and then I asked "well, would this be covered under warranty then? I told you from the beginning I also thought it was the battery" and they said "no" as well because that wasn't what was fixed. I was told I would have to pay another $179 to get the battery replaced even though I told them I knew that was the issue from the beginning. I had already paid $350 so I was not dropping another $179. I was able to go to Micro Center and get the battery for $35. Again, Mike is a good guy, but I blew so much money here when I don't even think it was necessary, and it was awful to be...
Read moreI brought my mom's brand-new(never been turned on) Amazon Fire 8 Tablet. Being as accident prone as we are, a screen protector was necessary. I did not trust myself to apply it correctly and have always had a store apply it for me(Staples for my iPhone & Best Buy for my iPad). The only place I could find a screen protector was Amazon(shocking I know). Those other places will only apply screen protectors if they sell them. I thought that I was SOL. I thought that if iFix Screens fixes screens, then surely they can apply a protector. If I was going to have them provide the screen protector it would be $35. That seemed a little expensive, so I enquired about the price if I provided my own protector. Their online customer service told me there 'may or may not be a service fee'. That was frustratingly vague. I figured if they weren't providing the screen protector, it had to be cheaper. So I brought it in and hoped for the best. When I arrived the place was empty but a woman came to the front within less than a minute of my arrival. I showed her the tablet and the screen protector and she took them and went into the back. When she returned the tablet had a practically perfect screen protector(much better than I could have ever done). To my surprise, there was no fee. Best Buy charged over $8 to put a screen protector on my FitBit Blaze! For now on, I will be using iFix Screens for my screen...
