I stumbled upon this bagel spot while trying to find a new go-to in the area—still getting my bearings since I just started working nearby. A quick Google search led me here, and I’m glad I checked it out! The inside was clean and had a decent amount of space, which is always a plus. The staff was super friendly and immediately greeted me. They were also patient and understanding since it was my first time visiting. They let me know it’s a kosher restaurant, which means no meat on the menu—definitely a bit of a letdown since I had my heart set on a bacon, egg, and cheese. I decided to switch gears and ordered an egg bagel with cheese and black pepper. I’ll admit, it was a good bagel—fresh, flavorful, and nicely toasted. But I couldn’t help but miss that extra savory punch from some meat. Would I come back? Maybe, but only if I was craving a simple butter bagel or another egg and cheese fix. It’s a solid spot for what it is, but meat lovers might feel like something’s missing. Still, worth checking out if you’re in the area!

Yes! Finally our search has ended. We found our new source for bagels. Our old bagel place closed. After trying Long Island Bagel cafe and being disappointed, we decided to try Bagel Boss. We picked up a mixed dozen bagels, half egg bagels and half egg everything bagels. We were not disappointed. The bagels were of good size, texture, flavor, freshness and cooked evenly. The service was excellent, prompt, friendly and professional. The interior has a nice wide open feel to it with the service counter running the length of the left side and bagel selection at the end. We were delighted with our purchase and definitely be back

Now this is what you call an authentic bagel shop. The bagels were the perfect size and it was crispy outside and chewy inside as a bagel should be. The prices are not cheap but what you get is a great bagel that is the standard that others try to make but fail. Saturday mornings the lines were out the door but the staff hustle and bustle to keep the lines moving. Customer service is always very good and the Kosher status keeps only soy bacon on the menu which was pretty good with my egg and cheese.

the Bagels that I had bought on Sat 7/2, the 3 garlic bagels...well they were the worst...!!...almost day old , when i got them home..a whopping 3 mile drive, they were hard and harder to cut and pretty much stale...when i go to the Hicksville Bagel boss I buy Bagels I get them home they are fresh and easy to cut and taste even better...Not quite sure why this location is selling what could possibly be day old bagels at 8 am on a Saturday, but in the evening when i attempted to cut the 3rd to eat, a newly sharpened knife ( serrated) could barely cut through the rock hard bagel... the sad part this isn't the 1st time I have had this issue with the crap bagels here...but this time it really pissed me off, so I will tell you to go elsewhere as this Location really blows...make the drive to Hicksville or just get a bagel at another place...I know I will make the drive next time instead of being lazy and settling for this...

I've been coming to Bagel Boss of Carle Place for approximately 20 years. The service was always stellar.

They were closed for renovations for over a year, and recently, they finally opened up again.

Well, they just lost me as a customer.

The bagel I got literally tasted like supermarket bagels - hard, stale, not fresh, and worst of all, SMALL. Not big, soft, and chewy, like I remember.

They were VERY stingy with the cream cheese.

Staff hardly spoke English well. They were far from welcoming, and took much too long to prepare a rather inaccurate order, which was not so complicated. They forgot my Danish, and I had to remind them about it.

Coffee tasted like sock water, and was NOT hot.

Danish tasted like cardboard.

And worst of all, they took away 1/2 of their space.

I'm never coming back here, and wouldn't recommend this...
