DEFINITELY A GREAT PLACE. Lots of games and so much fun. Just a few tips I would suggest to anyone attending (and the place itself, if they read this). MAX allowed in each game is 5 people. I didn't know this prior to attending & we are a family of 7. Luckily, the kids were older so we could separate and still have a ton of fun. Second, you have to check each game room prior to using it. If you don't, and you begin a game, you can be kicking someone out of the room that is playing in there. (My suggested resolution to this issue would be to have a light indicator above the rooms to show when occupied. Or even have a camera in the room and a TV that displays the inside of the room so that you know if it's occupied or not.) I see this becoming an issue as it was starting to become an issue for us. There are lockers on site and though I would love to upload photos, I didn't take any. And some may find this as an issue but I see it as a great thing. Kids were able to put down their phones and families were able to interact with one another and work as a team. We will definitely be returning here. Oh, as for parking - park in the ORANGE parking garage (next to nordstrom), level 2 and walk into nordstrom, straight to the mall. The entrance to Activate will be on your right. (Easiest way rather than walking through the entire mall.) Oh, and definitely arrive 20 mins earlier to complete the waivers. Love this place and the staff for being so helpful and kind. We will definitely...
Read moreI’m beyond disappointed with my experience at Activate. What used to be a fun, well-run place has completely gone downhill ever since the owner decided to get rid of the best employees many of whom were kind, helpful, and actually knew what they were doing. It’s clear there’s favoritism and possibly even discrimination involved, because the people let go were the ones holding this place together. Now, what’s left is a disorganized mess. The staff seems clueless about how to run the systems, the games are constantly malfunctioning, and nobody takes responsibility. I personally spent over $150 on a few visits, only to find that some of the games I paid for were either shut down or completely broken. No refunds, no solutions, just blank stares from employees who didn’t know what to do. It’s disgusting how far this place has fallen. They let go of people who cared, and it shows. Don’t waste your time or your money here there are much better places that actually care about their staff and customers. I personally would hate for ANY of my family or friends to even experience that...

Went to an Activate in another state so was excited to see this new location that opened two months ago on the 2nd floor of Roosevelt Field Mall. They were offering a free 15-minute trial when we visited, which is a great way to get a feel of the experience. 1 hour is a good amount of time to play in all the rooms.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and well-organized. There are 11 game rooms total, with 10 different games (two are “Hoops” basketball rooms). One of the rooms was under maintence when we were there.
Each room needs 3 to 5 players, so it’s best to go with a group of that size. If you're only two, ask the front staff, they can adjusted your wristbands so you can play with only 2 players.
Your 1-hour session starts when you scan into your first room, and the games are fast-paced and interactive- you can get sweaty from running around a lot. Go to the Photo Booth room at the end, the photos get emailed to you.
Highly recommend checking it out for a fun...
