K&G Fashion Superstore — Local services in Town of North Hempstead

I had A horrible experience with the tailor. I came in on Tuesday asking if I could have my suit tailored by Friday. They agreed to do the job and guaranteed they could have it to me by 3pm. That was perfect because the event I needed the suit for was at 3pm. I get to the store Fridays at 5:45pm. When I get there I’m told my suit isn’t ready and they’d need about 15 minutes. I calmly say that’s okay and wait. By 6pm, my suit was still not ready so I go to the back to check on it. Finally around 6:05 my suit is ready. I calmly ask the tailor will I be compensated for the fact it’s 3 hours after the time I was told the suite would be ready. He goes on to tell me he can’t give me any money back from the $75 I paid upfront. So I explain that as a manager you guys made a guarantee on the time and didn’t honor that so compensation should be applied. He offers me $10 from his pocket which to me was very offensive concerning the circumstances. It ended up becoming a huge thing where he got an attitude and told me he was “done with me” and refused to even discuss compensation. So I will absolutely never be returning to this...

I went to K&G today for a pair of new shoes just to replace a worn out pair. When I arrive I am warmly greeted by Zinaida T (a very pleasant woman with much experience in the store). She quickly introduced me to the appropriate section for what I needed.

After helping me identify the style I wanted I expected her to proceed on as most do but not the case here. Immediately she begins to ask if there are other styles or accessories I may be interested in. She was more than patient, courteous and helpful. Her entire aura said I really enjoy helping people find the look that makes them appreciate themselves better and thats how I walked out.

I posted this because I want everyone to know not only was she amazing but the store is amazing as well. Clean, customer friendly and easy to focus and try out your clothes in peace and they can keep up with your pace.

With all that'd going on in the world today with Covid it's moments like these that we need to cherish most. If you want to feel fresh and invigorated about your life, get yourself some new drapes at this K&G and if you're lucky you will get to meet Zinaida that...

I was shopping with my sister today, looking for a white dress. After hours of looking I found a beautiful white dress but it was a store return. Someone had worn it. I looked for another one and it was the only one left. So I asked the young men that rung up my merchandise if he can ask the manager to take a percentage off the dress so I can wash it. He went to the back and came back and told us that she said no. I asked if I can speak to her. When she finally came out, she had such a nasty attitude. I explained to her that I've been looking for hours for a white dress and I finally found one that I really liked and if she can please take just a few dollars off, by the way I had already spent $110. She tells me that I will have to try another store, that her name was Bernice and if that was it ? The answer was no. She told me that the dress had to go back to the warehouse and could not be sold.
