I bought a Rolex Yacht-Master from this firm, CollectorsWatches, in November, 2024.
The date mechanism was inconsistent. Sometimes it worked but most often it did not. After a number of attempts at trying to have it sync up correctly with no luck, I contacted the firm at the beginning of May. They wanted me to ship the watch back to them. As I was in Canada and they were in New York, I asked if they had an alternative and they said they would try and find someone close to me.
In the meantime I was fortunate enough to find a local watchmaker who was a retired Rolex/Omega technician. The calendar date wheel had three broken teeth. He ordered the part and the total repair - both labor and part was $350.
When I asked for reimbursement and sent a photo of the invoice and part, there was no response initially. But after a brief conversation they were kind enough to wire the money to my account.
While many firms often talk about guarantees, I was happy that Eddie took a personal interest in solving my problem.

Read moreI was looking to make a multi thousand dollar watch purchase so I called and spoke to someone claiming to be a service manager. I asked basic questions about the watch and certifications concerning their staff technicians. Questions concerning staff technicians/certifications were dodged and questions concerning the pictures in the ad he dodged or simply refused to answer (i.e. I wanted to verify how many removal links came with the watch/would Rolex verify a repairman certificate). Overall the conversation was hostile and not at all one would expect in a customer service oriented business. Manager consistently interrupted me while I was speaking. I asked to speak to another manager or owner but that was deined. Several times I was told to purchase elsewhere. I will do just that. Buy beware.
Note to the owner: Not getting simple answers to simple questions doesn't instill trust...
