Tonight we met a bunch of friends at a restaurant called bar grazie. It's a great little restaurant in massapequa Park.
Tonight I had my first and probably only pumpkin beer with rim. I am not a huge fan of pumpkin beer but want a season is good.
We started the meal with an order of wings, Italian nachos and a giant pretzel. I forgot to take a picture of the giant pretzel but I'm sure you understand what a giant pretzel looks like.
We ordered two different flavor of wings a buffalo sauce wing and a honey sriracha wing. The Buffalo wings had a great flavor with a decent amount of heat. The honey sriracha although had a great flavor it was little to no heat to it at all. We love that the wings were grilled.
The wife had a Mexican Caesar salad and she said the dressing was fantastic.
The boy child had an order of wings with buffalo sauce and really like them. They were meeting and juicy and for him and okay amount of heat. He likes them hotter.
For my main course I had as someone suggested the beef short rib. It was tender and full of flavor and the risotto that it was sitting on was out of this world Great.
One of my friends had the Italian stallion and an order of empanadas and he seemed to enjoy them.
There were pizzas ordered by some of the kids and a cheeseburger and they all seem to enjoy them.
One of the other wives had an order of stuffed rigatoni in ala vodka. And the other wife ordered a Mexican pizza. It looked fantastic.
My other friend ordered the chicken scarpanilla. He said it was great and full of flavor. He will definitely be ordering it again.
All in all we will definitely come back . Our table was waiting for us and we had reservations food was great atmosphere was awesome and the...

Last Saturday night, my friends and I decided to give Bar Grazie a try, hoping for a fun evening out. Unfortunately, what unfolded was a long wait, poor service, and a few mishaps that have convinced me this will be my only visit.
The Arrival and the Wait
We arrived at around 6:50 pm— Saturday night with a party of three in tow. Upon entering, we were told to expect about a 20-minute wait for a table. I provided my number to the hostess and was advised to check back in about 20 minutes. However, when I returned, the table still wasn’t ready.
Throughout the wait, I couldn’t help but notice that the hostess kept glancing our way—almost as if we were being bypassed for other guests. On three separate occasions, she approached us with promises that our table “would be ready in about 5 minutes.” Despite these assurances, we weren’t seated until 8:00 pm.
Food and Drink: A Mixed Bag
To our credit, the kitchen did try to make up for the delay by offering us a complimentary pizza. The pizza—and the calamari that accompanied it—were the only parts of the evening that truly impressed us. However, the drinks left much to be desired. Not only did they lack any distinctive flavor, but one of the glasses was damaged. When my wife picked it up, a noticeable leak spread across our table, further souring the experience.
The Final Verdict
After nearly two hours of waiting, mixed with inconsistent service and subpar drinks, I’ve made up my mind: I will never return to Bar Grazie. One disappointing visit is all it takes for me to say...
Read moreWent for brunch on New Year’s Day which was an awful experience. On that day we were given a $10 voucher for the table (after we waited over an hour for food). Decided to try brunch again today, 10x worse. Manager overbooks tables for reservations and insists on taking walk in’s as well, kitchen can’t keep up and the manager has more excuses than anything but refuses to acknowledge the real problem- he is taking on more than the staff can handle. Waiters and waitresses are working tirelessly (ESPECIALLY Sabrina and Jesse who are booked in multiple sections because they are hustling to keep people happy) while I’m sure the kitchen is as well however the manager needs to realize that the staff he has in the kitchen is not equipped to handle having every table in the place booked. As mentioned on new years he gave us one $10 voucher. Today I told him that wasn’t going to cut it. He ended up taking a total discount off our bill and giving us each gift cards. Too little too late in my opinion. Both times we were there over 3 hours and had to complain until our food came out. 1.5 hours for a pretzel that is more than likely frozen and needs to be heated is unacceptable. I would NEVER come back during brunch hours again. Will use our gift cards during happy hour maybe but will never come here during their brunch hours regardless of what was given to us. Manager should really learn a lesson after how many tables walked out and how many were unhappy. You don’t have the service, you don’t seat the tables it’s basic...
