I really like this store! They don’t have the car window phone holders I get like in Levittown or Valley Steam (I get them a lot in summer because they melt and break, I always forget to take them off the window) but guess what?! The have Zots fizzy hard candy! Ten for a dollar and they are the best candies in the world. Blue raspberry is my favorite but they will turn your mouth blue. There’s orange, cherry, watermelon, grape and cherry. An array of 10 cent candies to put in a bag, I love them! There’s always fun stuff in stock and the employees have always been nice and helpful. I really love coming here, it makes me happy. My daughter loves the art supplies and books too! If you see my photos, the dogs also love coming in their bags for a shopping trip, both fit in the little push cart. Cute clothes for them and dog stuff. We have a lot of fun and the location is safe. When I went to the one in Valley Stream there was some scrapping going on outside, and by the time I came out the police and ambulance were there. But this location has never had any problems that I’ve seen and Barnes & Noble and Hobby Lobby are next door!! So much fun...
Read moreWhen this location first opened it was one of the cleanest five below stores ive ever visited. The two dudes who managed the place were fantastic and vibrant. They made the experience worthwhile. i would come often with my niece and nephew and always left with a smile in my face. I am not sure if they are there or not anymore but NOW the staff dont even welcome you when you walk in, boxes are always everywhere, the store is in a constant state of disarray. I have given this store a bunch more tries over different days and even weeks...and i always left feeling FILTHY. As if i would catch bed bugs or something. This location has went incredibly down hill, the workers are disrespectful and rude. I wont be back and i am not afraid to spread the word. Its sad to see how great and CLEAN this store once was.
I assume the original management left and thats why the stores looked like this the last 7+ months... i never see them anymore, but if they dint leave and they let the store get like this.. thats even more...
Read moreI walked in with a short list and it was a ghost town. One person behind the cash register called someone from the back. I waited 5 minutes and basically asked how can such a large store have no employees on the floor? I don't blame the employees for this, it's all management decision who happened to be a mysterious woman named Melissa. Of course, she was not there, and in all honesty, I've been to many Five Below stores and this one needed a road map. Melissa was apparently the one who makes schedules, and I saw two other customers basically walking in circles. I left, for another day, but I did call the store the following day and the day after. Hello answering machine. I just don't understand either their hiring policies or Melissa's inept ability to schedule enough employees to at least make the appearance that this...
