Where do I even begin? Let me start by saying that my reaction to the horrible news I received within the store was unjustified as a grown adult. I started off calm yet confused, and became extremely upset and loud. In retrospect, I believe 80% of the world would have reacted in the same way. Approximately 2 to 3 weeks ago I went into the store for a brand new suit, shirt, and tie. I spent over two hours trying things on and received alterations for my suit and shirt. My best friend is getting married on October 7th. I was told to pick up my suit on October 2nd or later. I arrived on October 5th. Upon entering the store I was completely ignored by the cashier. She would not even look up to address me. Finally, a gentleman approached myself and family and asked if we needed help. My wife handed him the pick up ticket, as I did my best to keep my young kids occupied. Although I expected a short stay, time continued to tick while the gentleman was in the back room to retrieve my suit. 30 minutes passed and I’m getting more and more agitated. No one has acknowledged my presence nor has anyone explained why this gentleman has still not retrieved my suit. Finally, he strolls out of the room with no suit in hand. “I’m so sorry, but I looked everywhere and cannot find it”. I remained calm and asked him if he could explain. Then, a female store manager came over and reiterated the fact that "the suit is missing and cannot be located anywhere within the store". She then offers to provide me with assistance in picking out a brand new suit and having the alterations done this evening (it’s 8 pm and I have two small children with me that need to get to bed!) Well, that is when I lost my mind and explained that the wedding is in less than 48 hours (info that was already communicated to them during the last visit). Obviously, I felt stuck in the situation being I had a wedding in less than two days. However, I insisted a full refund in which I was given. During the drive home, I received a phone call from the store. I actually anticipated this happening, and was hopeful that everything would work out, and I would have my suit. However, the manager continued to explain, that although the suit was found, the alterations were never completed. She suggested that I come in the next day and have the alterations done so I will be prepared for my Friday evening wedding. Of course, I am hesitant now, worrying about whether or not this will happen again. I also asked if there was a chance I could receive a slight discount for my troubles. The suit was several hundred dollars and the alterations cost approximately $84. I would have been happy with a refund of the alterations, or even a 10-20% discount. The manager explained that she had to call her other manager to see what they could do. Within 10 minutes I received a call back and was told that there is absolutely nothing they would do for me, and to simply let them know if I wanted the suit altered. I was completely blown away by the fact that they would choose to lose $500 rather than give me a well-deserved discount for my troubles. I even explained that I would be writing this review, but the manager had absolutely no care in the world. There was NO way that I was giving them my business any longer. Now, here is the kicker. Of course when I arrived to work this morning, I had to tell the “story”. Well, I came to find out that my co-worker had the exact same experience as I did. Her poor son had to come all the way home from college to be fitted for the suit, and he did this one month prior to the wedding date. Upon picking up the suit, it was not there, and they could not locate it. Same story, same problem, same inconsiderate staff. I urge you to stay far away from this establishment. The staff members are actually not kind at all. They are all in a rush (meanwhile the store is always empty, and sadly, now I know why). Even when I had my alterations done, it appeared that the staff member was upset that she even had to perform the task. This establishment...
Read moreI’m a big guy. So, after losing 45 or so pounds (applause), I needed a new suit. With a couple of weddings coming up on the calendar and still losing more weight; I don’t want to spend a fortune. I walk into Man’s Warehouse up on Sunrise highway and was met by a guy whose name I later learned to be Joe. I told him I needed a suit and that I liked the “new” plaid look. He took me over to a wall rack of Calvin Klein jackets and pulled one out for me to “try-on”. I held it and asked “what size is this?”, “44” Regular he said. I said “Yeah, no. I’m about a 54-56”. He next proceeded to tell me that there were no suits in the store that would fit me. He then turned away and met another patron coming through the front door. My wife who was shopping with me, my son who was there and purchased a suit and some accessories from another salesperson, and my daughter-in-law heard him say this to me. While we were aghast at the abject asperity of the young fellow; undeterred my daughter-in-law found a nice suit jacket in my size; pulled it and one size smaller out; and off to the dressing rooms I went. Tried the first one on. Fit great. My wife walked back to the rack and pulled out a couple pair of matching pants, found one that fit nicely. We then proceeded to choose a complementing shirt and a new tie.
I want to make a special note that at this point that there was a nice sales person who was working alone nearby the shirts and overheard our conversation regarding shirt sizes. She offered to go into the back room and bring out a few different size shirts that I could try on. Which I did and found one that worked; the salesperson then proceeded to scour the shirt wall rack and found one in my size in the color that my wife had chosen. This woman is a professional deserving of merit. All the while she was helping us; I noticed Joe stood dawdling at the cash register coffee clatching with his fellow young sales associates at times eyeing over at us. I inquired as to the whereabouts of the store manager and was informed “she just stepped away”.
Notwithstanding the mostly self-serve experience and hopelessly unprofessional behavior of Joe; we proceeded to the register. As Joe was ringing up the sale I asked if he received commission here. He said he did not. Had he said yes, I would have had the person who actually helped us ring me out. As I was placing my selections on the counter, I mentioned that I had indeed found a suit the fit after he told me that there were none in the store that would. He lied and denied saying that. I can only surmise that sensing brewing affray, the other young salespeople dispersed from the area.
I started to argue but thought better than to match wits with this obviously impaired little fellow with his offensive fetid breath, mostly chipped off sparkling green nail polish, man-bun, clownish attire, repugnant grooming habits, and attitude to match.

Read morePretty mediocre experience at the Men's Wearhouse at the Sunrise Promenade in Massapequa.
I needed a tux for a black tie event in NYC and figured I'd try out the Vera Wang Black Tux, as Men's Wearhouse promotes it as "high end." Paid about $200 after tax. They signed me up for a rewards program that got me $30 off the price without asking my permission. I've been getting 2 to 3 annoying promo e-mails daily.
The measurement went fine. I was given a date to pick up the tux. When I arrived on the date, I had to wait 5 minutes for them to find the tux...because they had no idea where it was.
When I went to try it on, they kind of just left me alone to my own devices. I had to walk around the store to find the girl that was helping me. The tux was NOT what I ordered. I had ordered a slim fit cut. I received the slim cut jacket and a modern cut pant - which looked like something MC Hammer would wear. The shirt was also about 3 sizes too small (why did they even measure me?) The white shirt was a dingy yellow.
She went into the back to find a new shirt...and brought a modern cut shirt out that was about 3 sizes too big. She suggested that I take that one since "no one will see it under my jacket." I refused to take the tux...and was told to come back two days later to get the corrected order.
I go back two days later. It was snowing, and the entire staff (including the manager) was lounging in the rental tux area...where the customers are supposed to sit. There were chairs circled around a TV, and snacks were on the floor.
Again, had to wait 5 - 10 minutes for them to dig up my tux from the backroom.
This time, I received a completely different pair of incorrect modern cut pants. They gave me the same exact oversized shirt as last time.
When I explained that it was not what I ordered, they tried to coax me into taking the wrong sized stuff. I refused. I had to wait another 20 minutes as they walked in and out of the backroom completely confused.
They kept bringing out incorrectly sized shirts for me to try on. During all of this, the manager continued to sit about 5 feet from my girlfriend and I. He didn't address the issue at all when it was completely obvious what was going on. The only time he said anything was when he tried to flirt with my girlfriend as I was in the dressing room.
I eventually got pants that were close to my size. I never received the correct shirt. I asked for a vest to cover the over sized shirt. They gave me one off a mannequin that was missing buttons. I also never received the cufflinks that I paid for.
For the $200 I paid, this was a joke and a hassle. It's obvious that this staff just shows up for a paycheck and has very little invested in their customers satisfaction. They get away with this stuff because they figure most guys don't know what tux options are available to them and play off their ignorance.
Low class company. Low class staff. Low...
