Torrid — Local services in Town of Plattsburgh

The store was beautiful and had great variety but the time I'd had gone a manager from another store was in, it was me and my mother because despite us being both adults I wanted to doa girls day and what better than some bra shopping. I am a heavy chested person for only being 20 (36 G, 180 pounds 5'5") but I've never really felt comfortable is wire bras due to the wire pushing into my ribs when I would bend over, I've gone through a lot of bras to figure this out so I went to torrid to find those other options. I was disappointed I was too big for any the design but I was insisted by the out of town manager to give two types of bras a try; so when I tried both and didn't feel comfortable in either when I would try to bend since I do a lot of that at work she then shamed me that I've aloud my chest to get this saggy and if I wanted to improve on my figure I needed to get over the pain. I was taken aback from the comment and was upset because I am comfortable with how my body looks and I don't need other people approval, I do not wear nice fitting bras for anyone but myself and I will not make myself endure pain when I wear oversized uniforms anyway. I love this store and Connie, the manager. She is always super helpful and gives me her opinion when trying on clothes. She remembers me and knows what kind of clothing I like so she always has something new to show me when I go into the Plattsburgh Torrid store. I have been a Torrid customer for almost 20 years. I remember having to travel to Albany to shop Torrid. So happy we have a Torrid in Plattsburgh now. Every time I need a dress for a special occasion or just feel like getting a new Super Soft Tunic or pair of leggings (best legging EVER!), Torrid in Plattsburgh is my "Go To" store. I was just there yesterday and Connie took very good care of me. When the right size or length in pants or jeans aren't available, you can have whatever you want shipped to your home or the store. So excited for my new Bombshell Flares to be delivered soon. I always have the items I've ordered in less than a week. The girls at Torrid do an awesome job and I love buying clothes at a store where my body type is appreciated and...

I love this little store. Are the prices a tid bit too high yes. But I would rather pay that and know I am getting something that will last me verses something I can only wear once. The clothing is phenomenal. The cut, fit, style of the clothes is like you had your own personal tailor make them for you. I am definitely a repeat customer! Then the staff so helpful! This adorable lady helped size me for the first time and I was blown away that I was in a much smaller bra than I needed to be and once I wore the bra from here for a couple hours my back felt thousand times better. Back on the staff always cheerful always smiling always willing to help you out with anything you need. Honestly this is my favorite part is the cheerfulness of the workers.
