Peak Nutrition Club — Restaurant in Town of Rib Mountain

We stopped by to try their drinks, and it was my first time here. I usually go to one in my own town in IL often, but we were up here for the weekend on a getaway. As I walked in, I noticed how beautiful the interior was, it was a large store, but cozy and warm looking for the Winter. As I got to the counter, the mood had shifted completely. One of the employees with blonde hair that I greeted was clearly in a bad mood and it showed throughout the whole visit, couldn't even look at her. I saw the menus on the counter, and was trying to figure out what I wanted to order, I then was told by this employee to order on the slip they had provided, without saying much else, she was mainly quiet the entire time. I was a bit confused with the ordering process, that was when another employee greeted me, and asked if it was our first time, so she explained the process, and I got my order in, a Snickerdoodle shake. The employee who was in a bad mood was making my shake had made it great, regardless of her mood. I understand bad days happen, but it was no excuse to exhibit that type of emotion at a job. The other employee, she was super nice to talk to, and reminded me of girls at the other shop back home, she talked about the shop and how long she's been working there, she was very friendly and down to earth in general. I loved her hair! We chatted about the crummy weather. I felt much better and comfortable being there, after all. The shakes were alright but really expensive. It is an MLM pushing company selling their "snake oil." If you want to just go get a smoothie and hang out with your family, I suggest finding somewhere else. The atmosphere was not what I remembered. Boxes of Playboys in line of sight of my son. I enjoy some banter, but I was turned off by the amount of non stop talking the female owner did even after I had given a few polite but obvious hints to let me and my family chill. She didn't. I packed up my tired 9 month old and told his Dad I was bringing him to the car. I sat in the car with our 8 year old and baby for another 20+ min. I guess she had a lot to say to my husband. First things first, if you have questions just ask. The first time going here can feel a little daunting with the amount of choices you have but you can just ask and the staff is more than happy to answer. The second thing I would suggest is to bring your own, large enough cup or ask for a glass so you don’t need to use the plastic cups...creating more waste. After we were given our options for shots, drinks and malts we were all pleasantly surprised at how good they were and were pretty full after drinking all that was provided.
