UPDATED first i want to give credit where it is due- the absolutely only positive part of my best buy experience is the delivery team- they are on point, knowledgeable, and friendly. they deserve a positive shout out. thank you for the service that you provided.
i kept jumping through hoops with best buy then samsung- they decided to replace my tv with an equivalent but there were no tvs available so samsung stated that best buy would replace my tv with the same one and if it was not available i would receive an upgraded tv replacement, a better tv. not what best buy said!!! they prorated and refunded some of my money onto my card for the geek squad insurance and gave me an in store credit for my original purchase. i stated what samsung said to me and they did not honor it- my equivalent tv because of my tv not being available was over $400 more. what could i do? they have my money held hostage in the form of in store credit!!! i paid the extra $400 for a Sony this time instead of a 3rd possibly junk samsung. i got a delivery date with a delivery window between 7 am and 7 pm, and the saturday before my tuesday appointment i got a text stating the night before my delivery i would receive a more narrow delivery time by 9 pm. now today, the day before the delivery, i received a text stating that i would get a more narrow window tomorrow⌠the day of the delivery. i need more of a heads up so i do the text chat, they cannot help me. i call⌠yup the call center cause you cannot call a physical store even if you are literally sitting in the parking lot. call center cannot help at all and i can barely understand what they are saying. no narrow window, cannot even tell me where the delivery team is leaving from. i explained in great detail how i have been waiting weeks for this delivery and the 7 am to 7 pm window does not work and that no they will not be able to contact me while i am sleeping. just so ridiculously frustrated. i just want all of my money back. i bought one tv from best buy and i am still struggling with best buy a year later with getting the 3rd tv delivered. thatâs right- the second replacement tv that costed $400 more because they are holding my money hostage in the form of an in store credit. never⌠never ever again!!! DO NOT GO TO BEST BUY!!!
original post- go to best buy they say, better service and products than walmart they say⌠what a line of bull!!! i went to best buy and bought a 75â samsung tv for what i believed to be the price online. i got it home, set it up- burned out pixel. called and tried calling best buy several times and guess what? you cannot talk to the people at the store, the person who just sold you your tv, no they have an effen call center!!! and these people thought i was scamming them no matter how much i assured them that indeed i bought a 75â samsung, but evidently they believed i had a 65â tv. i called several times and gave up. drove back to best buy (45 minutes each direction) and they didnât believe me either. evidently the person working gave me and loaded onto my vehicle for me a 75â tv, but charged me for a 65â tv in error. i had to pay an extra $300 just to get them to come pick up the tv and replace it- they were going to charge me $100 for this service, i said oh effen no you are not, i literally just bought it!!! so they came and got it and dropped off another one- less than a year later the screen goes purple and one time it went half black. i had enough at that point and had forgotten all about the not being able to talk to people at the store thing and had to jump through hoops. on phone call number 4 at 10 minutes of waiting and no progress. all through their text, robots, and call centers. i will absolutely NEVER buy from best buy again. i will go to the local walmart like people like to say not to do. what subpar service. phone call number 4 just hung up on me while waiting to speak to someone on hold, never made it past the robot and being on hold. what a crock of bs. never again! it took numerous numerous calls to finally get sent to...
   Read moreI ordered a new laptop when there was an open box model that would save me $133, but said it could not arrive until Monday, vs paying the new price of $850 because it would arrive on Saturday. The new version came on Monday anyway, so I'm out $133 before I open the box. Monday comes, I put everything together login etc and 2 hours later realize that it doesn't charge. So then I waited on the phone for 2 hours for customer service. I understand that it is a busy time of year but I have already waited extra days for the device and was over charged $133 that customer service refuses to compensate. I don't live close to a best buy so I have to make an extra trip to return it, or wait an additional 5 days and UPS it myself and wait 3 days for them to receive it, another 3 days for them to say that they actually received it and 4 days for then to actually send me another new and untested laptop that might not work just like the last one. Customer service has a thick accent, I can't hear them well,and they won't allow me to use speaker phone. I ask them to enunciate so I can understand them, they are not understandable. On the website it doesn't say that if I return it to a store other than the one that sent it, I'd have to pay a % restocking fee but that is what I am told. So long story short, don't trust best buy, order from newegg or Amazon because Best Buy really sucks at...

Adam was very kind and enthusiastic to find us the perfect fit, with exactly what we had in mind in terms of size and detail. He was very helpful the first day we saw him! A few days later we came back in since the brand-new desktop we had just bought (not in the Wausau location) did not workâŚstraight out of the box. Adam was there again to the rescue! He helped us find another desktop with even better features than the last. My husband didnât want to buy the same desktop based on his recent experience. Adam was very knowledgeable about every single desktop, mouse, keyboard, monitor we looked at. You name it, Adam had a truthful and honest answer about everything, which we very much appreciated. The switch between desktops was made easy both by Adam as well as Kristen and the rest of the return/geek squad team. Kristen was there for every change in transaction, and we appreciated all the effort and time she gave us to make sure we were happy with our switch, also answering our questions with knowledgeable answers to help us make the right decisions.
