Disappointed! Deli hot counter closes at 7:00 pm, I arrived at 6:20 and asked about ordering a fish fry. The server said "we are all out except a few pieces of baked fish." He just stood there looking at me and I knew he had no intention of saying I'll put some down for you. He didn't even say we have no fish to fry. They were already cleaning the fryer area. If you are open until 7:00 pm that means 7:00 pm to the customer. I worked at KFC in high school, when they still had fish dinners, our boss would make us put down a fish fry if it was five minutes before closing. Ended up with chicken and it was good, but still...

Its hard not yo like this place, it has that Old Time corner store feeling I remember from the '60s and '70s. Today's big box "just get as much on the shelves to sell as fast as possible" stores are horrible, this is a welcome sigh of relief. Sure you're going to pay a couple a penny's more for some items but sometimes it feels good just to be able to breathe and have the store employees seem happy that you're there. Surprisingly Good. .when they took over some of the items were way too high.....so stopped going there.. today I stopped looking for one item McIntosh apples. And it was a good price... .was to 3 other stores in the last week .and no one had any..I like to eat McIntosh. And also use for apple crisp..so I shopped today to check and got a few other things .. ending up buy $30.00 worth of groceries..when only went to get apples... I will continue to shop...
