Terrible customer service. I saw online an article they had in stock in Riverhead. When paying, price was different than website. Cashier called manager assistant. She immediately without even verifying article said that the one in website was smaller and that they had two sizes that is why price was higher in the one I picked up. I am sure she doesn’t know by heart the thousands of items they have in the store and the sizes. I showed her article in website, there were not more sizes, length and wide matched. She said that I was wrong even showing her the size marked in article, she said it was a different size. I didn’t give up and check SKU number in website and article and they were the same. She went away and called Manager he immediately said to her over the phone she should match price, cashier did it. But she didn’t came back to apologize about her poor management of the issue. They should train their staff better. I could’ve pay the higher price if she said that prices in the store are different than website and I would’ve ordered it online in that case. But she lied about sizes and she didn’t check well before answering or...
Read moreI live about an hour and a half away and for fun, I come out to Riverhead to shop with my parents and wife.
Ive visited this particular Hobby Lobby before but wanted my parents to visit since they never had the chance to visit one. We dont have any in NYC.
My mother being a arts and craft person absolutely loved the store. Its almost too huge to walk in its entirety. My father also found many things he liked.
Store is well organized and clean. The. Store associates I bumped into were very friendly. Tina in the fabric and sewing department was incredibly helpful, and very sweet towards my mother. Tina went above and beyond to get what my mother needed. The manager l, I believe his name is Adam, was also very helpful and knowledgeable.
Overall I would drive back the 1 1/2 hour to visit this particular Hobby Lobby, for me, its the way you are treated and not about how cheap products...
Read more(Edit 12/12/23) While HL is a crafting superstore, I cannot give my money to a company who is not all inclusive. I, too, am Christian, but I do not force beliefs on others. As if COVID wasn't enough, they will not sell Hannuka products and one store had the audacity to to post a support trump display. My money will be best spent where everyone is accepted.
(Original post) I broke my boycott (I still remember what the CEO said and did when everything was shutting down at the height of COVID) and went in because my niece was visiting and wanted to go. They have a large selection of hobby supplies, a great selection of accent furniture, etc. SALE prices made some things a steal, but pricing is generally high. I'd like to say that I'll shop there again, but I still can't get over how his employees were at risk because "God will keep them safe" while...
