Lidl — Local services in Town of Riverhead

I really like the stores, I've been to 3 locations. Riverhead is where I live, so I'm glad we have a store near to shop. When they had the Grand Opening everything was wonderful, plenty of staff working the cash register, plenty of staff packing the shelf's etc.. All that has changed, 1 cash register open, lines going into the aisles, first day of sale which is always on Wednesday, they don't have the Product that's on sale, Bakery Dept have something on sale, they tell you the truck didn't come in, that's a Lie. I had to come 3 times until I got what I wanted, that should not have to happen. Their LIDL brand products are Great, they are just as good and in some cases Better. It all comes down to Management in most cases. They should treat every day like a Grand Opening if the want to Survive on Long Island. Today 8/17 around 8:30am -9am my mother went to this store and was charged double for each One item she bought when realizing they’ve made a mistake she went right to the cashier (a short heavy set women with glasses)who was the one that charged her and let her know the mistake she made in a respectful manner, The women state “you too?” And got very angry and my mother said yes you charged me double for everything. The women walked off and left my mother there completely ignored another gentleman with blueberries wasn’t given change and was also ignored when my mother got the manager and explained what happened he didn’t even care nor apologize. It’s sad that people with such rude character work in a place that deals with people it’s not fair to us as costumers that we can’t even shop in peace in a happy...

I want to make a special mention about a wonderful employee, Paul. I couldn’t get into my car today and my phone was locked inside so I couldn’t even make a call. He was on his lunch break, made a call to my insurance carrier from his phone, and waited until he was sure they were coming to help me before he would eat. When I offered to give him money, he so kindly said, please just do this for someone else if you see they’re in need. Once I was able to get back in my car, he was at the end of his break and came back to check all was ok. I stated I really wished he would take the money, he still kindly refused. He never made me feel like I was a burden and was just such an amazing gift of a person. I hope the universe is always as wonderful to him as he...
