Yikes. My first time ever in an Ulta was the other day. The young lady greeted me, offered assistance, walked me around, found my items for me. She was friendly and professional. When I went to check out, a different girl used her fingers to swirl her circular nose ring outwards from inside of her nose while she was ringing me up. I’m just not really into germs, so I threw the beauty products in my purse and sent myself an emailed receipt. My second time in a Ulta was today, Tuesday June 25, 2024, I walked in with one item in mind and I was considering purchasing some type of lip products as well. When I walked in, there were three or four women gathered at the front right deep in some type of animated conversation. They ignored me and did not greet me. I walked around trying to find the thing I wanted for a bit checking most of the aisles, circling back near the women, looking around until I finally found it at the front. The young cashier was kind and enthusiastic, not to mention very helpful. When I walked out, the ladies at the front were still seriously engaged with one another by the doors and again, they did not say a word to me. It seemed that at least one of them could have even been a manager. But I really don’t know. If you are, then just wow. How rude. I’d have stayed to find a few lip products, but I couldn’t wait to get out of there. The young lady at the register saved the day today by being a person at her job who actually wanted to offer excellent customer service and who actually wanted to work. I get it, I wanna have fun too. But I deal with people in person for my job as well and couldn’t imagine treating someone like they were invisible when they were right there in front of me. It just creates a very uncomfortable atmosphere for the consumer when it could have been fun and easy and five stars instead of two. I rarely ever write a review, but my only two experiences here were so significant I...
Read moreHair Salon overcharged me $400 and the stylist, Kirby, didn't think the instructions I brought from my previous hairstylist would give me desirable results. She insisted on trying highlights differently and only coloring my roots with the red color I chose (I found out later this is called bayalage), telling me that it will blend better this way. After about 4 hours, my head looked multicolored and I didn't like it. She slowly took another 3 hours putting more color foils in my hair. After 7 hours, with my bored, hungry children waiting I might add, and the store closing, my hair was only halfway decent and Kirby still hadn't given me a trim, although she claimed she had done so and offered to cut off more at that point. I declined because my children were begging to leave. I got my outrageous $400 bill (charged for bayalage and color correction from an "elite" stylist, $55/half hour, costs that much, as I was told after complaining that that wasn't what I asked for and hadn't requested a particular stylist) and I was sent to the front for payment. The employees made it seem like I had never gotten my hair done with top notch products like they have at Ulta so the price was appropriate. Offended, but almost laughing at how snobby they are, I told them at my usual salon I always get what I asked for using schwartzkopff products— which Ulta doesn't even carry—and I'm always done in less than 3 hours with about a $200 bill, half of what they're charging me! The stylist never even told me that what she was doing would cost me more or take a considerably long time. On top of it all, throughout, the inconsiderate hairstylist was very quiet too, despite my many attempts at starting conversations, which made the experience painfully long and miserable (she even ignored my children's simple inquisitive questions). I still want to cry just looking at my ugly, overcharged hair, still ridden...
Read moreI am a frequent customer at this Ulta since I get my hair dyed here every month. I just sat in the chair, and my girl started putting the dye in my hair. Literally, not even a minute later, the manager walks by and reminds her that I need to pay asap (I guess it's because it's Sunday and they are closing earlier than usual). My girl reiterated to her that she knows I need to pay, and she will send me up before 7 pm (it was 5:42 pm at the time). My girl repeatedly apologized to me because she could tell I was annoyed, but I do not feel she needed to be the one to apologize. The rude manager should've. The manager should've also taken it upon herself to kindly ask me to pay instead of speaking about me like I wasn't there to the girl doing my hair!! This isn't the first time this has happened. This is the THIRD TIME I am made to feel uncomfortable in this Ulta because management wants me to pay before I am even done with my hair services. Actually, I honestly do not mind paying for my hair services up front if that's what they need due to an emergency, but it's just the rude way the management goes about it EVERY SINGLE TIME. If this is something they want from me, then they should just nicely walk up and ASK ME, not make rude comments to the girl who is doing my hair while I am sitting there!!!!! I would've given Ulta 5 stars like I have in the past because all the hairstylist here are Rockstars, and I absolutely love my hair. But I'm only giving them 3 stars because of the rude manager, Christina. If this continues, Ulta may just...
