Giovanni's came highly recommended by friends so we used them for our wedding. Unfortunately, This was by far the most stressful vendor we worked with for our special day. We faced a multitude of issues. One week prior to the wedding, I got a call asking what our wedding colors were. We had been working with the store for 3 months prior to that call. Suit sizes were incorrect on multiple occasions, wedding party members could not be associated with our file, we heard negative feedback from the majority of our wedding party, unfortunately. We dealt with what seemed like 10 different people throughout the process, and there was a complete lack of consistency which led to what felt like more and more questions and issues the closer we got to our wedding. If we knew then what we know now, we would have gone somewhere else without question.
Notes per the response from owner & added photo: Of our wedding party, excluding myself, I received negative feedback from 4 members. The issues ranged from poor quality of materials, to fits that "did the person dirty" to the communication / file issues, and these are separate from the issues I had. People literally went to other stores to acquire items for our wedding that they thought were subpar from Giovanni's. Even the people who bought the suits from you are planning to take them other places to have them "fixed". I'm happy to have them include their feedback/reviews as well if you'd like. If you look at the photo below and told me the suits were fitted at 4 different shops, I'd believe you. These unfortunately all came from one place. They are all over the place in terms of lengths, fits etc. Hope you can get things going in the right direction with...
Read moreBeen coming here for years and will always come here for any of my black tie events. Originally was going with Giovanni's for my wedding. But due to out of town guests, I needed a national chain store for this purpose. Unfortunately I had to go with another company (Blacktux.com) through David's Bridal. BT.com has the absolute worst customer service and would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Completely dropped the ball for my wedding party. Paid for tuxedos that were never delivered, tuxedos that were delivered, were completely the wrong size... no actual human being to speak with as they kept me on hold for over 2hrs. They even ended up turning their phones off due to the "extreamly high volume number of calls" (these must have been all the upset customers demanding refunds for their extreme incompetentence.) Was only forced to submit inquiries via email......which is completely ridiculous and unprofessional ....Desperate for options and extreme time constrains (3 days before my wedding), I turn to Giovanni's for my last minute prep. They were able to measure my wedding party, the right way and..... complete EVERYTHING I needed in an insane amount of time....extremely fast. I have and always will recommend Giovanni's for all your black tie events as well as business casual needs. Don't even waste your time with anywhere else. Excellent staff and customer service!! Professionalism like no other. I refuse to go anywhere else. I'd give them 10 stars...
Read moreInitially, when my husband and groomsmen were measured everything was great. However, no one mentioned that if they wanted to purchase a suit that they would need to let them know that day. We asked them to make a note in the folder. When I called a week prior to my wedding about pick up we were told that if we wanted to buy they would’ve needed to know months ago during the measurements meeting, which we did. The day of the wedding one of the groomsmen was missing the pocket square and each black suit had white strings poking out. I understand it’s busy with prom season extended but it seemed very disheveled and each groomsmen had to wait over an hour to try on and pick up their suit. I would also recommend if you are eligible for the discount to mention it multiple times. My husband ended paying for his but did get a refund after calling. Overall the suit looks great the day of (minus the one without the matching pocket square) but the experience was kind...
