Today took me three year old daughter to the Sylvan Beach amusement park. We spent $62 for 40 tickets then took a break at the Carmelo arcade where I proceeded to spend another 30$ In games and the 2$ per ride carousel that doesn’t even go up and down, The man I bought the tickets from had no customers service manors whatsoever but that wasn’t my problem, yet! How ever I spent ten dollars in quarters in one vending machine where you could win rolled up tickets To buy the cheap prizes for the kids! 10$ and I was lucky enough to win a whopping 75 tickets. I added them to the other tickets that My daughter had won off the games and proceeded to put them in the ticket machine for A receipt that is then brought up to the prize station. The Machine took all my daughters tickets and five out of my 75 tickets and said they were no good, as I Went to the front desk to seek Help from a small framed blonde lady we will call Karen! Karen refused to give me her name but let me no she was (the owner). I was spoken to like I was an idiot because I attempted to old ticket into the ticket machine. To my surprise because (I seen no sign on the vending machine that said do not put these tickets into the ticket machine). They refused to credit my 75 tickets/10$ because I made the mistake of putting the tickets all together and attempting to put them in the ticket Machine for my receipt! Mind you I still had 70 tickets that I brought up to the owners along with a receipt that was credited for 103 tickets! The blonde owner refused to let my 3 yr old daughter use the 70 left over tickets to buy her prize! I pleaded with the lady that I had spent close to 30$ in her Establishment so my daughter could get this cheap little race car she wanted and to please not penalize my daughter for me opening the tickets that were supposed to be handed back into the front desk witch after opening they refused to take! She said im sorry miss you should have read the label you ripped off the rolled up tickets. Apparently I had missed where it said in small red letters it said return to front desk for credits. So Now my daughter is disappointed tears streaming down her face because she dosent have enough for the toy she wanted and I ask to talk to a manager the rude gentlemen, I dealt with in the beginning now, pipes up and says we’re the owners And it’s not gonna happen, Lady! Your should have read the label on the tickets you won! ( return to front desk in small red letters). Sir, it clearly was an accident and I know I cannot be the first person that put old tickets into the ticket machine with the new tickets. Then the small frame blonde lady (owner) chimes back in and says no your not but can you people not read?? so at this point I’m in complete fury seeing red cause my daughter is balling her eyes out over this stupid car she originally had enough tickets for but was unable to purchase with her hard earned tickets because mommy made a mistake and opened them now I raise my voice a little and say you must be joking right the tickets our no longer gd because I opened them and attempted To put them in the ticket machine? You people should have a sign that says these tickets go to the front desk ONLY or do NOT OPEN! Something because she Admitted that I was not the first customer that had done this. As I’m trying to see what my daughter can get with her 103 tickets minus the 75 tickets we just got ripped off for, I’m tapped on my shoulder by Security ! Yes she called security on me while I had my child standing with me. SECURITY really?? i was in shock! Why? for being argumentative? all over a stupid 1$ store race car that we clearly paid for ten times times over. What really upset me though is To kill the joy of a 3 year old Little girl who never got her race car they should be ashamed of themselves! All to pocket a few more bucks that they clearly so badly needed! Never again would I take my kid into the Carmelo’s arcade! The games were as crappy as the people who ownd them along with the top notch customer service that is nonexistent there!...

Read moreSpent a good chunk of cash and had lots of fun. Until the cheap, petty person at the prize counter refused to accept a large number of tickets we'd won because a young child made a mistake. Keep your worthless roll of tickets and 2-cent plastic trinkets. We won't spend another $50. Brilliant business decision...
