I'm not one to publically complain, but the pizza I got was embarrassing. Wings and antipasto were good. Fries were average at best. I managed two pizza shops in Oneida, so I'm not just spewing nonsense. Where I used to work, when there is bubbles on a pizza, you pop them while still in the oven and sprinkle more cheese over the dry spots. The pizza I got was covered in bubbles. The parts of the pizza that didn't have bubbles were still dry. Just to be certain, I peeled off the cheese and checked three individual slices. The only sauce to be found, was a miniscule amount lined near the edge of the crust. I'm pretty sure it was a combination of a lack of sauce and the sauce that was used must have been watered down. Now of course, I call to resolve the issue, shortly after taking a few bites of the lackluster pizza, and I asked for a manager. The girl working said "there isn't one here right now and I don't know when he'll be back in tonight". She was just an employee running front counter and taking food out to customers. Telling her about my issues would have no way resolved this issue. Restitution I feel needs to be made here. I rated one star on the pizza itself by the way. Salad and wings were good. It appeared no one over the age of 20 was working and the fact that I cannot reach a manager and no one knows when he will be in displays such a lack of professionalism. I am really disappointed because this was my first time trying this place and I heard great reviews, with my recent experience, such was not the case. Apologies if this comes off as rude or offensive, but I am a very dissatisfied...
Read moreTold to come in by a manager yesterday I saw while doing my other job. I had applied to work there a few months ago. I love working in pizza shops so I came right in shortly after they open today. Was greeted with a poor attitude from the owner right from the gate. Which led to me being stereotyped based on my appearance, long hair, ect. Told me they drug test and I say yea that's fine. He dragged that into with a tone saying, we hair test.... I say that's fine explain that I'm not worried about it. I did not go out of my way, I was told to come in by one of the managers. I have never left essentially a job interview this upset and offended. I'm young. I have long hair. Why can ppl treat others like this... I don't care how good the food is customer service is everything, if this is how a job applicant is treated I wouldn't eat there personally when the owner is there. Id rather just avoid the awkward judgements and being treated like less of a person. As for others, I know for a fact that some managers of this establishment treat people well. On every occasion other than this, the owner was not there and I felt welcomed....
Read moreThis little candy store is right in eyes view of my Vrbo. Of course it caught my eye when we first drove by it. I'm a sucker for anything sweet.
Walking up to the store, I realized it's next a pizza by the slice joint. How fun to have a candy next to a pizza place. We walked in and were instantly greeted. You instantly get color bombed by all the fun colors. There is so much fun stuff to look at!
There was a nice variety of salt water taffy and your common candy. There was fun old school sweets like wax bottles, bubble gum cigarettes and candy dots. By the register was a little display case of homemade fugdes. Everything looked so good!
We didn't get anything this time around. I initially thought they sold ice cream here but they didn't. I believe it was the owner I was talking to and he suggested a little ice cream joint a couple businesses down. I appreciate small business owners promoting other small businesses. I look forward to coming back and grabbing some goodies from them. Those salt water taffies are...
