I purchased a pair of sneaker today for my son in the Middletown NY store. The female cashier asked if I was paying cash or credit. I told her debit, so she proceeded to ask for photo identification as I was handing her my card. I found that weird, but I went along. She started entering my info on her register, and asked for my first name. At thought point, I thought I was on “impractical jokers” or some type of punked show. So I told her it’s on my ID AND my debit card which she was holding in her hand. Then, she asked for a phone number. Now I’m getting a bit annoyed, because it felt as if I was applying for a mortgage, and not buying a pair of $70 sneakers. I told her, “no, I do not wish to share my number, and that I’d like to just purchase the sneakers and leave”. Finally, she said that if I don’t provide my number I won’t be able to return the sneakers. Now I’m hot! I asked what’s the deal with the strict rules? I just purchased a pair of sneaker for my daughter in Dick’s and I didn’t have that level of experience. She said it was her store policy. Today 4-19-22 at about 1:40 came into the store to buy a few pairs of sneaker . I normally stop by about once a week to pick up sneakers for my three sons or myself and wife . Recently I see there’s a heavyset lite skin Hispanic man and when ever I deal with him it seems like he is bothered once I ask for help.he seems annoyed when I asked for a sneaker size and the location was empty. I did purchase a pair of huaraches toddlers a size 10 he threw the Sneakers on the counter it was unnecessary and as I was finalizing my purchase the female that was ringing me up was having a conversation with another staff member about what they was ordering for lunch over a head set and just toke extra time because they was putting a lunch order in . I’m a frequent customer But I have an issue when you go to purchase sneakers and the location is empty and stuff is too busy ordering lunch to deal with your purchases . The staff definitely...

Terrible customer service! Found a pair of sneakers asked for a size inwhich the staff exhaled very loudly as if i was bothering him then we walked up to the counter and he proceeded to throw them on the counter the box almost flying off & hitting me as if i inconvenienced him by having him ring up a pair of sneakers! There was another staff there & she couldn’t stop complaining about how she couldnt wait to leave & she needed a vacation with other colorful language within that statement..smh! i guess professionalism doesn’t exist...
