Color Me Mine — Local services in Town of Webster

Really frustrating experience here. I paid for one of the stoneware mugs which are $40. When I got home from picking the mug up, I noticed the inside was not glazed which means you can’t use it. This store is a 30 minute drive away from me.

When I called the store they said they would refund, but then decided they wouldn’t do that and that they would just glaze the inside for me, but I needed to bring the mug back in and then pick it up in a few days. I explained I was moving in 5 days and this was not at all a convenient solution given that the store is 30 minutes away from me and I wouldn’t have time to go back and pick it up that week.

I really liked this mug so this was disappointing, but to not refund the $40 is even more disappointing given it wasn’t my mistake.

UPDATE: I was replied to in the below comments that the mug is usable, however I did just put tea in the mug and now have an entirely stained mug on the inside, because it’s finish is essentially porous. These mugs cannot have any actual use for coffee or tea without glazing on the inside. I have what is essentially white chalk floating in my tea. Again, really...

I took my son and my niece to Color Me Mine and they had alot of fun. I called and made a reservation and they had a spot for us right away. They allow walk ins but calling ahead to reserve a table is highly recommended. The staff that work there are very informative and kind and let the kids pick their own creations to paint. You get 4 colors with free refills and any other color for a small fee. The pottery pieces aren't cheap but they aren't gonna break the bank. They're all pretty cool and they carry a large variety with lots of sizes with different prices for each size. You get a 2 hour time limit to paint but you should have plenty of time. You can book a birthday party here and there's a private room for that or groups of people that want to paint together. When done painting your ceramic art they will cook it for you in their kiln when you leave and call you back to come pick it up about a week later. They have summer camp workshops for kids to enjoy and you can rent a room in the back for a birthday 🥳 Overall, I give Color Me Mine 5 stars because of it's uniqueness and because it's alot of fun and very therapeutic....

Horrible communication online. The hours posted on google do not match the stores actual hours. 1st of all when i tried to go to their pittsford location the store was being renovated even though it said it was open. 2nd I drove all the way to webster to pick up the pieces we did and the store was closed at 5:00 with the hours completely different than what was stated by google posted on the door. It is a massive inconvenience to drive an hour round trip for nothing. Especially for someone who works 6 days a week. The enviornment in itself is not horrible. Given the 2 stars instead of 1.
