Do you enjoy being discriminated against, accused of stealing, stalked around in the store, and constantly being asked questions by foreign employees who cant speak a lick of English? Well if you like all of those things, the Beauty Island in Hillendale is your cup of tea! Please, DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR SERVICES OR MONEY! THEY'RE RUDE & RIDICULOUS, especially the Chinese man who runs the shop, he is forever accusing people of stealing. The employees are always breathing on the back of your neck talkin about some "Do you need help" and when you actually ask for help, THEY DONT KNOW WHERE ANYTHING IS!! Not even like you can explain what it is you're looking for because they do not speak English! Many times have friends and I walked into the store & of course, because there was many of us, and we are females (mainly people who steal from the store are women, they have these women posted as well), we were followed around by employees in a creepy way.. Not asked if we needed help, nothing. Employees literally stand at the end of the aisle and STARE AT YOU.. Not to mention the creepy black male who is constantly hitting on female customers. How professional! Need to be ringed up to purchase your items? Dont worry, the wait will only be about 15 minutes while the employees are busy talking, too busy to ring you up. Its not like its their job to help you right!? I came to exchange an item, but when I came to the store, they didnt have the other item I thought they would have. So I left, and as I was leaving, the sensor on my PREVIOUSLY BOUGHT ITEM went off! I didnt cause a scene, I just explained that I came to return the item and I showed the Chinese man my receipt. He takes the reciept and the item, and tells me "This is my item from my store you stole this you did not pay for this" in front of all these customers. I kept telling the idiot to look at my receipt! Clearly I bought the item a little over a week ago! He refused to look at my receipt and called the police on me. After about 5 minutes of cussing him out, he finally examines the receipt and the item, after I compared my item to the brand new items in his store (mine was slightly used & you could tell), he says "Youre right, you did not steal the item" uhm DUH! WE COULD HAVE BEEN CAME TO THAT CONCLUSION IF HE HAD REVIEWED THE RECEIPT WHEN I TOLD HIM TO!

Read moreWould personally not shop here again. The owner was very rude. The hair was placed in the wrong section and under the wrong price. When i asked a worker she told me the hair was $8.99. It wasn’t a bad price. But when i got to the register it rung up $13.99. So i went back and asked the lady how much it was and she told me $8.99 and i told her it rung up $13.99 and she told me it was wrong so she walks me back up to the register and tells the lady that it is $8.99 and the cashier didnt care and called the manager so we walk in the back again and she just standing there looking back and forth. Whole time there is a sign hanging from the ceiling that say “$8.99” and the OWNER kept trying to play it off like it’s in the wrong spot it is $13.99. I told her if is is “13.99” you should have put a disclaimer sign or something right here that says it, you have all this hair under “$8.99”, so when somebody walk in here they are going to think it’s “$8.99”, especially if two workers saw that it says 8.99 and you wouldn’t give it to me for the price that it was marked under and having me walking from the front to the back multiple times is very unprofessional. The employees seemed completely absorbed in their own conversations, chatting and laughing with each other as if they were at a party. They didn't even acknowledge my presence, let alone offer to help me find what I was looking for. When I tried to approach them, they barely looked up, and their expressions seemed to say, "Why are you bothering us?" Their attitude was dismissive and rude, making me feel like an inconvenience. When I asked for assistance, they provided minimal help, and it was clear that they were not invested in ensuring I had a good shopping experience. The staff's behavior was not only unhelpful but also unprofessional. It's unacceptable for employees to prioritize their social interactions over customer needs. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy. Given the poor customer service, I would not recommend Beauty Island to anyone.
