Tameka & Company Salon — Local services in Towson

I really enjoyed Tameka and Company Hair Salon. I called ahead on Saturday June 25,22 to see about any walk in opportunities to get my Type 4c natural hair cut and styled into a pixie and get it dyed in one sitting. Lisa told me to come on in and that made me excited because I am new to Baltimore and really needed my hair done, and not a lot of salons are accepting walk ins due to COVID. When I was on my way I got lost trying to find them with my GPS, and when I called and told them, they were very gracious and the owner Tameka stayed on the phone navigating me there the whole time until I arrived. This already had me hyped and set the bar for great customer service. When I finally finished parking and came in, I was greeted by the kind receptionist and Lisa had me come to her chair. She listened to me intently and when I showed her pictures of an idea of what I wanted as my hair style and the hair color she helped me work through it. When I asked her if it was possible to do all in one sitting she said yes and brought out a book with color samples for different hair dyes. I instantly saw a golden brown color I liked and decided I wanted a second color to ombre my tips and she helped me with that too. She hooked me up, we had great convo, the ambiance in the salon was amazing, everywhere I turned my head I saw beautiful hair being done by all of the stylists and well satisfied clientielle that they new by name! Lisa made me feel welcomed, listened to my needs and wants, helped me decide on the best options for me, and even educated me along the way. I felt heard and seen and she exceeded my expectations and more than met my needs and they are SUPER AFFORDABLE!!! She was on her feet for hours doing my hair and did not complain and maintained a great attitude and beautiful Spirit!

Words cannot express the joy I felt walking out with my hair done! I will definitely be back again really soon! Thank you Tameka and Lisa for everything and for the mesh wrap too!!! Hands down one of the best salons I have been too in...

TODAY WAS THAT KIND OF A DAY ITS FRIDAY AND IT'S DEFINITELY BEEN A LONG WEEK. I HAD TO CHOOSE GOING TO THE HAIR SALON OR GOING GROCERY SHOPPING BECAUSE OF THE SNOW COMING. TAMEKA AND COMPANY HAVE BEEN MY NUMBER ONE CHOICE HAIR SALON SINCE 1999. WHEN IT COMES TO HEALTHY HAIR CARE THIS IS THE PLACE...YOU CAN DEFINITELY GO TO THIS SALON AND SEE OLD FRIENDS AND MEET NEW ONES. TAMEKA AND HER STYLIST KNOWS THE BENEFITS OF LONG LASTING HAIR CARE. I OFTEN STOP BY WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT JUST TO CHAT BECAUSE ITS ALWAYS GOOD COMPANY AND CONVERSATION. THE HAIR SALON IS IN A GREAT PART OF TOWSON FOR THOSE THAT DOESN'T DRIVE IT'S ON THE BUS LINE.. Very cozy and very friendly. I had a bad experience getting the 27 pieces. My hair was mold back placed under the dryer. My hair was not completely dry. My stylist left the wrapping paper on, placed the cap on. Cut the edges of the paper. Some of my hair was showing, and tracks showing. Really did not get the hair style I wanted. Got home removed everything. I really was disappointed with the whole situation. Never again will I go there. I Will not recommend my family & friends...
