New York Fried Chicken & Seafood — Restaurant in Maryland

They should really only be getting 3 stars because they messed up my order bad but I'm gonna let them make it this time.

Let me tell you how the messed it up and how they were able to redeem themselves.

THEY FORGOT MY LEMONS OR LIMES.( I MADE A NOTE LIKE THIS SO THEY WOULDN'T FORGOT) I ASKED FOR MASHED POTATOES AND THEY GAVE ME COLESLAW. I ASKED FOR A SNAPPLE AND THEY GAVE ME CANNED LEMONADE. THEIR FRIES SUCKED AND UNFORTUNATELY I CAN'T RATE THE FISH OR SHRIMP BECAUSE I DON'T EAT THAT STUFF WITHOUT LEMON OR LIME.

They were able to redeem themselves with their fried chicken and their banana pudding. Their Mac and cheese was good but not unforgettably delicious. I'm honestly very disappointed that my order even after SPECIAL NOTES was still managed to get mixed up. The Uber eats guy was super friendly and had nothing to do with the mix up.

Ordered from Grubhub and the chicken looked fresh but had an odor, as if the the meat was starting to turn. Even my cat turned away from it ( She usually gobbles up the skin from other fried chicken places I order from ). Called the restaurant to alert them and the guy on the phone got very defensive and then hung up on me. (!) I do not like to write negative reviews, but if it's a question of safety I feel it to be my due diligence to warn others. Please beware and note the many 1 & 2 star reviews, all of which affirm my own troubling experience, with added comments about the lack of sanitary practices at the restaurant. I actually went here about three weeks ago, but this place is directly next door to Stokos which I visited annoy a week ago. New York Fried Chicken is not a bad place per se. I've been to worse places, but I may not return anytime soon because the food (I got lake trout, catfish, and wings) was extremely overcooked. It was almost dry and hard-crunchy almost everywhere I bit. If I do go back I will ask them to not overcook my food. The chicken I got made me deeply disappointed. The wings tasted like they were reheated and yes dried- out as well.
