My puppy Roscoe loves Dogtopia! He has grown so much since he started attending 1-2 days a week. He was extremely anxious when he started attending and the staff showed so much patience and care with him. Now he runs straight to the door and happily trots to the playroom with the Canine Coaches. The staff has been friendly and communicative since day one- special shout out to Hailey for always calming my pet parent anxiety! Our recent boarding experience was especially great. My husband and I were very anxious to leave our pup for a week and board him for the first time. Everyone was kind and understanding and listened to our litany of instructions. During our trip we recieved email updates and phone calls. He had trouble eating one day, and I recieved a call asking to add broth to his food. His final day, he was bit by another dog. When Hailey called it was clear this was not a normal occurrence and she was anxious herself, but showed professionalism and compassion. He was taken directly to the ER and I recieved a detailed care plan from both Dogtopia and the vet. (The other dog was dismissed from care.) He was fine and when I went to pick up his boarding items, he ran straight to the front door and greeted all the canine coaches with kisses and playfulness while we waited for his items. Because of how well this situation was handled, I still 100% trust the staff at Dogtopia and will return when his injury has healed. The love for the dogs in their care...

It has also been a critical part of her growth and development from a shy and nervous pup, to a social butterfly. When we adopted Lulu at 12 weeks she was tentative of all new things, barked and cowered, and we worried how that behavior would progress without socialization. As soon as her puppy shots were completed and she was old enough, we set up a meet and greet. Her first Day she was a bit of a wallflower, but with all the love and patience the team showed her, she was running around playing with her new friends by her second visit! After a few weeks of going 2-3 times a week, she would whine and sit by the car on mornings we weren't going as if to say "come on take me to camp to see my friends!" Now at 10 months old, she is a confident girl who loves every dog she meets (and wants to meet them all), knows how to play respectfully with other pups, stand up for herself in constructive ways, and is much quicker to warm up...

We brought our six month old puppy in for an introduction earlier this summer. At the time, she weighed about 45 pounds and was still working on socialization, which we informed them of. They weighed her and then determined that she would need to be placed in the large dog playing area. We were not able to go back with her, and when they brought her back out maybe 10 minutes later, they said she didn’t do well when introduced to several dogs at once. This wasn’t shocking considering her age and where we were at in her socialization process. Unfortunately this experience ignited reactivity in our very friendly and outgoing puppy and left us having to work closely with our trainer to undo this behavior. I understand the fact that this is a chain daycare and boarding service, but there has to be a better way. We did not go back nor did we use the newly opened daycare in Owings Mills as this left us with a lot of mistrust of this...
