I used to love Home Goods but for a variety of reasons I haven't been to one in over 3 years. I had the time and the opportunity so I decided to check this one out. First of all, I'm not sure it's possible to shop this store and actually follow the one-way aisle signs. Or maybe, I should say, I don't think it's possible to leave if you follow them. Second, I'm pretty sure they had the exact same inventory 3 years ago. Three years ago, I bought a pair of shelf sitters and broke one - I was able to replace it on this trip. Third, did the staff take a vow of silence? I asked 3 different people a question about the price of an item. All 3 of them gave me a confused look, smiled and walked away. Even the cashier completed my entire transaction without saying a single word. Over all it was a strange experience and it will probably be another 3 years...
Read moreThis is a brand new store. So tell me, why is it always absolutely disgusting? The bathrooms are always horrible. Last time I was in this bathroom a couple months ago, there were flies everywhere and overflowing trash cans. Today, there is no toilet paper and NO WATER in addition to the filth…. Makes you wonder about what it looks like in back before they put the merchandise out for people to buy and take home… I’ve also noticed, a lot of the employees are highschoolers. They need to be trained better and how to be more friendly with customers. They will almost walk into you and not apologize. Get in front of you and not say excuse me. Never ask if you need help with anything. Not very courteous, personable...
Read moreWe purchased this rug 6 months ago. It's not in direct sunlight but when we rotated it 180 degrees from under the couch, this is the difference in the color. I get it, it's not an expensive rug, about $300, but 6 months and it looks like this? We did not have the receipt, so i get their hesitancy to refund it, but we were basically told to take it home, not our issue. We have purchased a few rugs prior from various Home Goods locations, but that will stop now. Not looking for a freebie, just some credit for a replacement. If you can't stand by an inferior product and help a customer to replace it with an upgraded rug, I guess we know where we stand...
