Grain and Berry - Trinity — Restaurant in Florida

Love Grain and Berry in Palm Harbor. I would go there all the time after going to SPC. I'm a frequent GNB customer, I love it! I even tried to email one of their founders before they had so many locations and see if I could purchase stock but they don't have public stock. Darn! Maybe one day. I sincerely hope the company gets big enough for that!

This location however, I'm torn on. It's hit or miss. When they first opened they were amazing. (I've gone at least 12+ times since they opened.) But lately they've just been getting it wrong. I kept coming back because sometimes it's perfect and it's so much closer to my house, but at this point I feel so done with this location.

The first time we had a problem we did leave that in a review on the app and the GM called us right away but I didn't bother returning her call because usually GNB is good and the problem was so trivial we didn't want an employee to get scolded for it and we were definitely going to keep coming back. So shout out to the GM for being on top of things!

Since then we never really complained about anything that went wrong because we could just deal with it. It isn't always a big deal and everything still tastes great but the severity of the problems have been... increasing... here's a timeline.

One time we forgot to tap, "add spirulina," to our smoothie and the girl remade it for us free of charge, I still gave her the extra $1.50 though because that was our mistake. Shout out to that girl, thank you! That's on us, NOT the location. I feel bad for my negativity in this review though, so I'm trying to put some positives in here. That's why I'm mentioning this.

The location in Palm Harbor will put your drizzles on top of the granola instead of the fruit so that it doesn't get stuck to the lid if you order to go. This location several times have not done that. Not a big deal.

Sometimes when we order online sometimes things are missing. One time the extra fruits we paid for were missing. One time a whole smoothie was missing. Another a whole bowl. If you mention it an item is missing, they'll whip it up real quick. It's just a little annoying since it's happened at least three times. Though we never bothered complaining about the extra fruit though since the bowls were already made and we just wanted to go home with our food.

One time we ordered two spirulina bowls and one bowl was only halfway filled. Like they didn't make enough for two servings and didn't feel like making another batch of spirulina to makeup for what was missing.

Another time we ordered from DoorDash and our Smoothies were missing something. I don't know what it was. Our smoothies were basically just coconut milk, pineapple and spirulina is what we're thinking, but it was supposed to have mango and bananas too. The reason we think this is because it was so watery/liquid-y and we couldn't taste any fruit but we caught a tiny chunk of pineapple or two. We know they didn't melt because when we pick up our grain and berry our smoothies don't melt on the way home. We even stopped by the grocery store on our way home with GNB one time for like an extra 30 mins and they didn't get to anywhere near the consistency of these smoothies.

The most concerning one is the time we picked up food and there was a long brown hair in my boyfriend's bowl. There's now way it was mine either because it was shorter in length in mine, straight and brown (My hair is past my waist, black, thick and wavy.) also it was kinda buried in the granola. He was gagging when he had to pull the strand covered in granola and fruit chunks out of his throat.

After the hair incident we haven't been back... just too many problems... We'll stop by the Palm Harbor location if we're in the area but for now we'll satisfy our cravings by making the...

I love grain and berry their bowls and smoothies, pizzas are delicious! I recently ordered a build your own bowl (spirulina) and was sadly disappointed the color was not as blue as the first few times when I initially purchased it from grain and berry. Upon my relative eating they stated that the bowl tasted like a mix of a different verity of other fruits, mostly banana that was used for a filler substitute. My relative has a very sensitive stomach and can not tolerate bannas because they up thier stomach. They were displeased with the bowl, I was disappointed for going out of my way and paying for fresh organic food that was not prepared properly. The fruit was loop warm and looked like it could be a little fresher too. It would be very satisfactory to some what recieve to same service and respect I received upon the first couple of weeks of ordering from grain and berry. I understand that upon busy hours it may not always be presented and prepared the best but the ingredients should be what you ordered and are expected to recieve due to the customers specific order instructions. I dont know if it's the management or the communication between the managment and the employees or just the employees preparing the food. The quality and freshness is not as great as in the first few weeks when I ordered from grain and berry. We ordered casadeas and sadlythey didn't taste as good as the first couple of time upon ordering, my relative ordered one with feta cheese, the cheese smelt rancid, vomit like kind of smell.. I also ordered another casadea later on that month and it was never even heated up vegan cheese not event melted.. and or cooked properly. They were busy so I wasnt really paying attention and didn't notice till I got home and opened it. I was again disappointed. I would be very pleased and appreciate it very much as would my relatives be too to continue to enjoy grain and berry and to recieve the same respect and satisfactory in service and freshness, food preparation as received within the first couple of months upon going and ordering from grain...

The Acai bowls are NOT acai bowls, rather they are frozen bowls at EVERY location in Tampa. (Save your money and go to Clean Juice or Nekter)

Grain & Berry it is honestly decreasing on quality and most of all in customer service. The last time I went after taking a break from their products due to the inadequate quality of their bowls that are always frozen like rocks, it was the same situation here in the newest location. After receiving an Acai bowl, I knew I was not going to eat one more time frozen bowl, I ask the lady to remake it. She said she needed to ask her manager, but the manager had a very negative and unapologetic attitude and said that pretty much said it was what it was and they could not make another one even after explaining that an Acai bowl should not be rock hard frozen. The moment I asked for a refund, she then decided to make another one with a very negative attitude and zero customer service. It honestly felt like I was bothering her to make a fresh Acai bowl than having a pre-made bowl that has been stored in their freezer for a long period of time. After this experience, this is the last time that I will spend money at any Grain & Berry location, especially this one in Odessa. There are two of their competitors (Clean Juice & Nekter) that are located walking distance from them, that I very much appreciate that they make the Acai bowls fresh to order every time, never frozen like a rock, that deeply cares for their customers and the quality of their...
