Update: Customer service sent me a 20 dollar gift card, so I went back a 3rd time to get eggs benedicts and one of the yolks was cooked all the way while the other was still partially runny. This tells me that they throw whatever at an unhappy customer, but still have not fixed the actual problem. I know I sound like a Karen right now, and I've come to terms with it. But eggs Benedict is my favourite breakfast, and all I want is runny yolks. 3 separate occasions, several weeks in-between, and 3 sets over overcooked egg yolks. Original: So today was the second time I've been to First Watch, and let me start by saying the customer service was excellent. All of your staff are super friendly, and our waitress was on point. Where my two star review comes in is about the food. Ive ordered eggs Benedict here both times I've been, and both times I got my order my egg yolks were cooked all the way through. My husband ordered the same thing today, and his eggs were a little over cooked, but the yolk was still kind of runny, so no problem. Mine were cooked all the way through. This is an inconsistency that will hurt your business as a breakfast joint. I let the waitress know and she immediately offered to replace the eggs and apologized, great customer service. I would just like the kitchen to be more aware of the cook time and appearance of the poached eggs. You can tell when the yolk is cooked all the way through by appearance alone. We don't know if we'll make it back here, but if we do I hope there's a little bit more quality and consistency...
Read moreI tried to take my family for Mother’s Day breakfast. My 80 year old mother went inside and put our name on the list a was told it would be about an hour. We sat outside in the blazing Sun for an hour before I could get her a spot to sit inside. I checked twice how many people were in front of us. I was told there were 6 people in front of us and it would be about 30 more minutes. After about 45 more minutes i checked to see where we were on the list and was told there were now 11 people ahead of us. The person, claiming to be the manager, informed me that the list was created by people logging in at home and it pushed us down the list because we did not reserve a spot on-line. Why didn’t the person working the front explain to my mother that we should go online and reserve. We were told it was going to be 2 additional hours if we wanted to wait (a total of 3 hours) because people logging in at home could continue pushing us down the list. I was furious that they didn’t explain to her that she needed to get on the list online. These are the people that claim they should make more money - but they have no critical thinking skills. Read more2 years ago I was a patron and gave this restaurant 5 stars because the (dine in) experience was amazing. Today, as a Door Dasher picking up an order to deliver to a customer, the experience was God awful.
Today Omar, from the staff, blatantly dismissed me to attend to a customer who dined in and needed to pay before leaving. The customer, who acknowledged I was waiting for assistance long before they even walked up, pointed this out to Omar but he just advised her I was waiting on a To Go order and proceeded to help her first. It was only after she was done that he finally ask the name of the order I was waiting on. HE NEVER CAME BACK TO ASSIST ONCE HE LEFT FOR THE KITCHEN. So I sat and waited, noticing a To Go order also sitting on a shelf in the kitchen for over 10 minutes before it was brought to me as my customer's order. While I waited, I had the pleasure of speaking to a very nice gentleman waiting for an online order who was NEVER acknowledged my whole time in the restaurant, and another delivery service worker also waiting for assistance. The icing on the cake was that any time a dine in customer stood at the register for 2 minutes staff would come by to take their payment, ignoring any people waiting on To Go orders, until we decided to speak up or ask for help.
I won't be dining here nor picking up any more orders from this restaurant. It's clear they only care about the customers...
