The day before yesterday I had my citizenship interview at the USCIS field office in Troy, Michigan. When my husband and I entered the office, we received a very friendly and warm welcome from the security staff. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable and had a little chat with us which really put me at ease. A very friendly lady greeted me at the registration desk and checked my ID and documents. She instructed me where to go and what to do next. The waiting time was very acceptable, I was called in by Officer Rahman, my case officer, just 10 minutes after the original appointment time. Officer Rahman apologized for the wait. However, it was fine for me because I expected a much longer wait. The conversation itself went smoothly. At every point in the interview, Officer Rahman demonstrated a high level of professionalism, but at the same time was genuinely friendly and courteous. I am very pleased that I was able to experience such a professional, but at the same time friendly, welcoming, courteous and warm atmosphere in this field office! Read moreMy wife and I had a very good experience in regard to Adjustment of Status. The agent who interviewed us was very kind and understanding. The YouTube lawyers are good and getting you scared and nervous. If you are going for the right reasons you should have nothing to fear. Keep in mind these agents are human beings also. Never at any point did we feel the agent was trying to intimidate or interrogate us. Don't believe everything you hear on social media. There are a lot of people out there making blatant false claims about the process.
I also want to say "Thank You" to the reviewer (Saffi Hooya) who described where to find the bathrooms. After a long drive to the USCIS office it really helps to know where those restrooms are since you can't enter the building until 15 minutes before your interview. Best of luck to anyone going through...

Did my interview and passed it . It only took me about 20 minutes or so. It's okay to be nervous but just make sure you study so you're atleast ready for it.
(Nextday) received my oat ceremony appointment for the end of the month.
