Helzberg Diamonds — Local services in Troy

My fiance buys all of my jewelry from helzberg. All my diamonds. Their customer service is very kind and I want to send a special thanks to Dave. Every 6 months I have to get all of my diamonds checked to make sure they are intact to keep the warranty. My wedding band is all princess diamonds. That was the only part of my jewelry that was bought from a different store. I couldn't quite find what I wanted because I knew exactly what I wanted from helzberg. During our last visit he found three of the stones in the wedding band we're loose. It's a thick band and so I had to get it fixed because if the diamonds would have fallen out it was would have cost a fortune to have them replaced. So he sent it out to one jeweler and they weren't able to do it so he sent it to a second one and they weren't able to do it so he sent it out to a third jeweler and she was able to fix it. It is a gorgeous ring and very expensive. And their diamond in the center of the ring is very clear and almost flawless. It is beautiful. So this third jeweler had to also add some white gold around the rim and add some gold on the bottom of the band because of course it got scratched up which any jewelry does on the bottom from grabbing things and such. And she did in immaculate job. And Dave waited till he got the right jeweler to do this job. The diamonds are tight and intact and the ring shines bright and beautiful. I'm very impressed. But what it really impressed me was we thought it was going to be very expensive. And it only cost My fiance $180 to get it fixed. And she made it look even better than brand new and this is a very expensive ring. But when he said $180 we were in shock and we were so happy. We couldn't have got any of this done without Dave. He is the store manager. And there is a wedding band as well and one of those diamonds were loose and that got fixed by the same woman and it cost $104. The price was very fair. And they did a beautiful job on both. Dave had the ring for about 3 weeks because he wanted to find the best jeweler for the job. And he did. There is a one-year warranty and I didn't mention but this is the helzberg in the Oakland Mall in Troy. After keeping the ring for that long once he got it to the jeweler she only needed 3 days to get it looking and fixed so wonderfully. So Dave had it for that long but it was worth the wait. Dave is wonderful and I am very impressed with him. So thank you Dave for everything you did for us. And if we ever have any more problems with any of my diamonds I want to make sure that you take care of us. Definitely five stars go out to you. That's why whenever my fiance buys me anything that's diamonds he always buys them from you. And I don't know how long those stones were loose but either they came loose or they might have already been loose but nobody else looked at it close enough to see that. He was wonderful and taking his time was fine because he needed to find somebody that would do the job right....

My husband and I will be celebrating our anniversary in March (it is November right now) I went into their store they were not busy it was very early there where only one or two other customers there when I was. I wanted to see their moissanite rings because I wanted to upgrade my ring to a bigger stone without the price tag that comes with a big diamond. I wanted to see them in person. I explained that my husband was going to upgrade me but didn’t say he would come back later around February to do so. I simply said I wanted to get an in person look. After looking at three rings in the span of five minutes and then revealing that I was not buying today she very quickly ended the viewings and offered to write down the numbers of the rings I did get to look at and then handed me the card and told me to have a good day. I clearly wasn’t done looking bc I was still viewing the rings from behind the glass even after she left. Since I wasn’t spending money that day they wanted nothing to do with me and the fact that I was going to buy moissanite must have made me less appealing in their eyes as a customer. Do not shop here. Very rude. I will be going somewhere else in February...

I will not be going back to this location! my fiancé bought my engagement ring from here and when we went back to this location to get it resized one of the workers name (Kathleen) kept telling us that we needed the ball ring guard for an extra $150 instead of getting it resized, even after we stated we felt more comfortable with a resize due to it being so large. she tried to tell us to come back and “think about it,” once we returned she said “let me guess you want it resized,” with a lot of attitude. I would not recommend going to this location, I truly felt uncomfortable going in there when we picked up my engagement ring after it being soldered together.
