11/13/22 Update: Finally, the last piece of furniture came. Yes, the leg was damaged but at least it is still usable and we can turn the table around so it is not as noticeable. I hope Crate and Barrel continue to work on their delivery process.
10/22/22 Update: Customer service rep Rachel called back and gave us a 4th delivery date of October 28th. We'll see if it arrives. Bear in mind this was ordered back in May and I feel like they are dangling a carrot in front of us, letting us know that the furniture will arrive in a few weeks every time there was a no-show. Back in May, the furniture was in stock and was told it will arrive quickly. If you just ordered recently, I highly recommend you cancel it until this resolves. I have invested too much time already so I will try to wait it out and will keep you all updated.
10/21/22 Update: The delivery guys came and delivered a few chairs but they couldn't find the desk (the most important piece) amongst other furniture. The delivery company has no idea where it is. We called customer service again and they are not sure what is happening either and say they will get back to us. No tentative delivery date yet again. Would not trust Crate and Barrel's delivery estimates, and unfortunately, you may not get your products. Customer service tries hard but like I said, their logistics department is still in a chaos and is worse than other furniture companies. Will update this when they "find" my furniture.
10/13/22 Update: Got another tentative delivery date of October 21. Will keep you posted if something arrives. First original delivery date was scheduled for July 29th so understand my skepticism when I get random delivery estimates... I changed the rating to 3 stars because customer service is nice despite them having a hard time communicating with their delivery team. Will keep you all posted if Crate and Barrel is able to deliver anything....
10/7/22. Warning! Do not order items that require delivery from Crate and Barrel until their logistics issues resolve. As a business owner, I understand the global supply chain and labor shortage issues we all have been having but I believe Crate and Barrel delivery is sadly at a standstill now. I will update this review when things start trickling in. Since you will likely be waiting for over 5 months (and continuing as I haven't received them yet...) for multiple items you were promised months ago, I think it's best to hold off on ordering anything from Crate and Barrel until this improves. I think this may allow time for their logistics staff to be become less overwhelmed. I will update this review every week until I get another (third time) estimated...
Read moreBeautiful items and store but the warehouse is not organized and I have had multiple issues with order fulfillment. I placed an order for an item and it was missing one small piece. It took over 90 minutes waiting in store for this issue to be resolved, which in any other store would be a simply fix but was a logistical issue with fulfillment in the warehouse and for some reason C&B does not keep extra materials for their items such as finials. Eventually I got the missing item a couple weeks later via mail. I placed another order in February 2020 and am still waiting on items from this order. I returned a couple of items that I did receive because they did not work out and was incorrectly refunded. As it turns out when I ordered from corporate by phone for a local pickup, they made a mistake with amounts charged for items and never fixed it. I have called and e-mailed C&B corporate regarding it and have yet to receive a response about their error. And I tried to get it resolved in store but they were too confused by the error that their corporate customer service made and did nothing to resolve the issue! Any other store would apologize and offer at least correct credit and maybe a coupon for wasting my time, but still nothing. I placed another 2 orders in early July and more issues and unfortunately these will be my last. Items that were labeled as in stock were not actually available for next day pickup and it has been two weeks and still not have received those items or updates. A few of the items were ready for pickup, went to pick them up but not all items that were confirmed as ready to be picked up were there when I went to pickup. They corrected this but I had to make a second trip back. And then the following day after my second trip I get an email that some more items from the order are ready, would have been nice to know the day before that they were almost ready. They only hold for 14 days so I am forced to go back and forth like this for small items that should have been there as they were listed as in stock in store. The second July order I cannot even check updates for because their website is not working. Hopefully the missing items from the three orders arrive, but I am tired of driving back and forth and contacting customer service, who is useless to help. Too bad, nice staff and pretty...
Read moreCrate and Barrel is a popular store, but my experience with them was disappointing. I visited the store before Christmas, hoping to purchase a KitchenAid mixer, a set of plates, and a set of flatware. Unfortunately, I discovered that they don't sell display items and had nothing in stock. I decided to proceed with the purchase and pick up the order later, but this led to a series of frustrating issues.
Firstly, it took 3 months for my items to be delivered to the store, and they were split into 4 separate packages for no apparent reason. This meant I had to visit the store multiple times to collect my order. Furthermore, their policy of holding orders for only a few days led to some of my items being canceled and sold without any notification or refund. Luckily in-store person was able to address the issues.
The quality of the items I received was also disappointing. While the display items were beautiful, the ones I got had numerous issues, including uneven plates and broken bowls and mugs. I decided to try ordering online instead, but this proved to be another mistake.
My online order was split into two packages without explanation, and the first package arrived with broken and misshapen bowls. There was a return list in the box, but no shipping label. I marked the bowls for replacement and paid for the return shipping, only to receive a refund instead. The second package arrived with broken mug and no return list or shipping label at all.
To make matters worse, their online customer support operates only during limited hours. Overall, my experience with Crate and Barrel was extremely frustrating, and I would advise caution when considering a purchase...
