This is a review for the company, not the brick and mortar store, I just want to share my experience: I really wanted to like this companyâŠbut⊠They completely ruined my husband and Iâs ring buying experience. This is a long review, but please read, I am not a ranting customer, all of this truly happened. They sent my husband the ring he ordered with a band that was 25% percent smaller than what was advertised online- 25%. At first, they tried to claim that it was a âslight variationâ due to the handcrafted nature of the ring. I understand a little variation because it is hand-crafted, but 25%?! We took the ring to a jeweler who measured it, and I suggest if you have bought or do buy jewelry from MiaDonna HAVE IT CHECKED OUT if you have any doubts. We contacted the company and they said I could keep the ring for now and send it back after the wedding. Problem is, I was so worried about messing up the ring I didnât wear it. Side note that our engagement and wedding were very quick, because my mom was terminally ill. Our engagement lasted 2 weeks and I did not get to wear my ring. We had our wedding and we promptly returned the ring, well wanted to, but didnât want to pay the return shipping they were asking us to pay. (We were sending back a second ring to be resized in the same box, to be eco-friendly). After a lot of back-and-forth MiaDonna finally said they would pay to have the order THEY messed up on shipped back for them to fix. It took them about a month to complete my correct ring and resize my husbandâs and when it was complete, they sent me an invoice. For return shipping. Are you kidding me? We bought a total of 3 rings from this company, spending thousands of dollars, and they were asking us to pay to have my correct ring I ordered, plus one ring in the same box, sent back to us?! They claimed that they cannot afford to pay the shipping on all ârepairsâ (not mistakes!) because they give 10% of their profits to charity. What do they do with the other 90% of their profits? We are not rich; we are city workers from Chicago. It would have cost us over $50 to ship the ring back. So after more back-and-forth, they agreed to ship us our rings. My âcorrectedâ ring arrived, and again, it was noticeably smaller then advertised and what the home try-on ring looked like. I contacted MiaDonna again, and they claimed that they measured it 3 times and my wedding ring it was stacked with must have been âtoo bigâ (it was not, we had it measured), but we would be allowed to return it. Again, we took it to a local jeweler and it measured more than 10% smaller. I sent the photos proving this and only then did they send me a return shipping label. They claimed that they measured it 3 times, but that âcalipers differâ. So, if your workshopâs calipers are more than 10% off, what does that mean for everyone elseâs jewelry? Now, 2 months after my wedding, I have gotten a refund and will have to start the ring-buying process somewhere else. Because of this whole fiasco, my mom passed away before ever getting to see my actual engagement ring, I feel like that is the worst part of all of this. Do yourself a favor, lots of other places sell lab diamonds and recycled metals, go there. These people claim to care so much about the people that their non-profits help, but what about the hard-working people that buy...

My recent visit to MiaDonna Jewelry in Portland was nothing short of exceptional. From entering the doors to finalizing my purchase, every aspect of my experience was marked by professionalism and a clear dedication to customer satisfaction. It's refreshing to encounter genuine care in the world of fine jewelry, and MiaDonna exquisitely embodies this ethos.
The standout quality of MiaDonna lies not only in their stunning collection but in their commitment to ethical practices. My decision to opt for a lab-grown diamond was met with comprehensive support, as the knowledgeable staff, particularly Justine, provided in-depth information that helped me make an informed and ethical choice with confidence. The transparency and dedication to sustainability at MiaDonna align perfectly with what I believe ethical jewelry shopping should be.
Justine, in particular, deserves special recognition. Her insight and assistance throughout the selection process were invaluable. Her passion for the products and her expertise in guiding customers through the diverse range of brilliant colors, styles, and sizes made the experience enjoyable and seamless.
Speaking of the collection, the variety of jewelry available at MiaDonna is worthy of note. The choices are as diverse as they are beautiful, catering to a range of preferences and tastes. The brilliance of each piece, likely a product of both the quality of the stones and the craftsmanship with which they're set, left a lasting impression.
Another reason why MiaDonna stands out is the value they offer. It's easy to assume that such high-quality and ethically sourced jewelry would command steep prices, but this is another area where MiaDonna pleasantly surprises. Their pricing is incredibly reasonable, challenging the notion that ethical luxury must be prohibitively expensive.
I am not only delighted with my purchase and the experience that came with it but also fascinated by the fact that MiaDonna is able to deliver such exquisite pieces at such fair prices. The exceptional quality partnered with their ethical and transparent approach to the diamond industry sets a new standard that I wish others would follow.
In conclusion, my visit to MiaDonna Jewelry was nothing short of perfect. Their blend of professionalism, ethical sourcing, exceptional staff, diverse and beautiful collection, alongside their reasonable pricing makes me wonder why everyone isn't flocking to their doors. If you're in Portland and or order online and are in the market for ethically sourced, beautifully crafted jewelry, consider MiaDonna your go-to destination. Youâll step out with more than just a remarkable piece of jewelry; youâll carry the assurance that your choice is as conscientious as it...
Read moreI bought an engagement ring for my fiancee on MiaDonna's website. The ring was beautiful, and the wealth of information available on their site led me to what I thought was a reasonably-priced ethical option, and taught me much of what I wanted to know about choosing jewelry. On top of that, their mission and cause was moving and ethics was a major factor in the decision. Now for the downside: Their patented Diamond Hybrid simulant is extremely fragile and a poor excuse for a stone. We ended up needing to resize my fiancee's ring twice, and when it was returned to us the stone was loose. I brought it to a local jeweler, who confirmed with a magnifier that not only was it loose, but was loose because the girdle of the stone had been chipped - a part of the stone only exposed during professional repair. Since I had only allowed MiaDonna to handle it per their warranty, the fault lies with them. My fiancee had not even had a chance to wear the ring, a month and a half after the proposal! When I notified MiaDonna of this development, and that I wished to have a refund for the stone, I was told I could only have a replacement and would have to ship it back to them again (for evaluation and re-setting). I was also informed that technically speaking, the chips were not covered by their warranty because they were only visible under magnification - even though their self-inflicted damage was the reason for it being loose! We ended up replacing my fiancee's stone with another from the local jeweler, rather than trust a clearly subpar simulant and a company that hides behind the fine print of their warranty. Perhaps had I sprung for a pure lab-grown diamond, its durability would have prevented any damage to begin with. But spending within my budget should not mean that I have to suffer through endless returns and repairs, at cost to me. Especially when their warrantied repairs were the reason for the damage. In summary, it's a real shame that a company started for such ethical reasons cannot service its customers well. I wanted to like MiaDonna, but the Diamond Hybrid is easy to chip and their repairs are time-consuming and risky. MiaDonna could have avoided this review simply by refunding the cost of the stone as...
