Happy Lemon has the best bubble waffles in the Seattle/Portland area. Who doesn't know that already! Please expect to wait because the bubble waffles are made to order and this one location is smaller than the other locations in WA. The ones I've been to in WA usually have an average wait time of 30-40 mins during peak hours for bubble waffles and people would still wait for it. That's how good they are. And Happy Lemon is franchise, their quality is very consistent.

Just an FYI, bubble waffle is a quintessential Hong Kong street snack (I was born & raised there). A truly excellent bubble waffle should have a crisp exterior surrounding a pocket of air, and then a moist, dense, soft, chewy lower half. So, Happy Lemon's bubble waffles are NOT under-cooked. Please do not expect it to be the same as the American waffles. And you are supposed to eat it right away.

For starters, the girl at the register was extremely unprofessional and had no idea what she was doing. I had to ask the same question three times and still couldn’t hear her, so I gave up. I ordered the watermelon green tea and it was absolutely disgusting. No flavor at all and looked like throw up in a cup. I had ONE sip in the store and went up to the register to tell them I didn’t like it and request a new drink (that’s how it’s been at any other food service place i’ve been to). The girl said there was nothing she could do about it and I would have to pay to have another drink made. I threw the drink in the trash and left. The bubble waffle was the only decent part. Delicious drinks, but bad service. We ordered three drinks and not only did they forget the first one, but when it came out, it didn't have boba, and they wanted to charge us again to add it when there were at least six people in line. I also asked for boba in the third drink when we ordered but the cashier didn't hear me. Another time, we came an hour before closing and they didn't have any boba at all.
