Poseidon Boil — Restaurant in Virginia

We came here to celebrate Mother’s Day and a graduation. The interior is neat and decorated in a modern way. There’s mirrors, lights, and balloons! We got a Poseidon boil feast—which had crab legs, shrimp head off, mussels, clams, crawfish, corn, potatoes, and sausages— with the mixed Poseidon sauce. The sauce had lots of flavor and oil, kept going back for more. My only issue with this was that it wasn’t hot, more like lukewarm. We also got a combo B and that was steaming hot, unlike the first tray of food we got. The crab legs were somewhat easy to break and eat. I wish we had a scissor for some of the knuckle meat or the smaller legs. The sausages were cut thin and well marinated. The shrimp was a decent size, same with the crawfish.

Also, service was amazing. Our waitress really tried to connect with us and was attentive, especially when we needed menus and new gloves. We also took the sauce to go because it was that good and I recommend you...

Server needs training in hospitality and table Waiting. Crab was watery no flavor, excessive garlic pcs and my sister meal fried corn, onion rings, fried oyster and wing in a rub….she said it all was mediocre at best…Asian chicken- yellow batter covered in rub seasoning. We have experienced several RVA seafood boil restaurants and this one taste wise was the worst in my opinion. My sister left her food after tasting everything and was unhappy with the taste. But ours was a boil and decent enough to take home. Wait staff was rude trying to talk to us before she even got to the table and when all of us didn’t hear she was rude when she finally was in front of us still rude. Took our order, brought it out and checked on us once not to mention I had to mention a tip to get her attn while she was sitting at the bar chopping it up with her other waitress mates. New restaurant that just open here on the upper west end of Richmond so checked it out. I ordered the Combo B (1lbs of crab legs w/ 1lbs of shrimp 🍤) it comes with some sloce sausagee, 2 corn 🌽, and 2 potatoes 🥔. I got their Poseidon Boil sauce mild spice is very flavorful. I also ordered lychee martini which is delicious. The overall atmosphere was great. Service was gray also, although the server is new, they knew where to get the right answer if they didn't know how to answer it. The restaurant looks fantastic and not like any other boil place and have a large bar. The music 🎶 they play is upbeat and not boring. I can see this place being the next go to spot in the upper west end RVA. the overall price point isn't bad for everything...
