Dillard's — Local services in Tucson

I just have to tell you about Ashan. He was tall, handsome and smelled exquisite! But that's not even the best part about him. We were looking for a very specific item. Not your everyday shorts. He asked if we needed any help, and of course, we did. Ventured out and told him we were looking for some shorts to complete a costume for this weekend's COMICON CONVENTION. Specifically, Michealangelo the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Not an easy request. We had searched Dillards and had given up. He got excited, and with a big movie star smile, told us, "Wait right here. I think I have exactly what you're looking for!" He came back with the perfect shorts that even had a Turtle shell type of print! If that wasn't enough.....He informs us they are 65% off the original price!!! This guy is a treasure!!! We were so excited and he couldn't help showing his excitement with us. Even the elderly couple checking out behind us had a good laugh at us all. Dillard's was ok, too!! Hahaha! To be fair, Dillard's was clean, organized, and immaculately decorated inside. ASHAN, HOWEVER, WAS THE GEM OF THE DAY!! Look for him for all of your shopping needs whenever you are visiting Dillard's at the Tucson Mall.. All in all, Dillard's was a win/win today and ASHAN, if you see this, THANK YOU...

Bought some nice shirts in the Big and Tall area at Dillard's, located at the Tucson Mall. Liked them so much, I decided the next day to by 4 more, however, I was on the other side of town. I stopped at the Dillard's store at park place mall and proceeded to head to the Big and Tall section in the store. To my surprise the shirts were $9.20 more than what is sold at the Tucson Mall. I would had paid around $37.00 more if I got them at the park place Dillard's. Did talk to a couple of sales people why Dillard's stores sell clothing at different prices. It is not that they are that far from each other. Their answer was that they are under the Dillard's group, but each store is independently run and each store management team determines the prices they think they can reasonably charge ( or get away with). Before, I had my suspicions of different prices, as I shop between the two, but this time I was awake. So, if you want to save money in these inflationary times, shop at the Tucson...

I’ve been coming to this Dillard’s since I moved here in 09 and I noticed it went downhill once they switched management not too long ago. She is the epitome of what’s wrong with white Americans in this country and that’s coming from a white male born in this country. I believe her name is Gretal. Every time I come in I make sure to watch her while I shop because I’ve noticed her profile people of color as soon as they walk in and then she’ll head over to her employees and start whispering. I was even there when she asked a woman who I admit, was on the more masculine side of appearances, who was working security at that Dillard’s that day “So what are you?” I was appalled. I have not stepped foot into that location ever since. Absolutely disgusted with this woman. Will never step in as long as she’s working there.
