Sept 26 at 11:09 AM, I call in to reserve a product as I am driving on my way to pick up the items. Mike on the other end says, "I can't reserve this particular product." I ask how many are available for me to purchase I am on my way in. Mike says there are 5 left.

I show up at 11:30 AM, grab the 5 items I called about - as they were not behind a counter or anything and available for customers to grab, and I bring them to the front to pay for the items. Mike behind the counter says with a bizarre and hesitant voice, "I can only sell you 3, I reserved the other 2 for.. uh, uh, someone, a friend."

Within 21 minutes... Mike told me he had 5 items I was looking for, for sale and that he doesn't take reservations for those 5 items. In the same 21 minutes he reserved 2 of the items to his friend, didn't separate them from the group where they were available for customers to grab and carry to the front to pay for them... and this really hurt me as a customer. The amount of fakeness and betrayal I witnessed from Mike in a span of 21 minutes from the person who was in charge of Tucson Games and Gadgets, it left a nasty taste in my mouth.

This was so strange to me... not even a super big deal... it was just shady and weird and I wouldn't want that guy representing my store. I told my wife the story when I got home and she said, "OMG I know who you are talking about, I tried asking him a question and he was so involved in staring at his magic cards he completely ignored me. When he finally helped me he was rude and seemed like a A-hole."

You can't make...

4 years ago I gave this place 5 stars. Editing it to one stars. Idk what happened to this place but there's hardly any Warhammer or DnD product- warhammer in particular. Came here to finalize my army wich would've been around $1k (tax return woot woot) and they had nothing. Missed out on a lot of money for not having warhammer in stock. Might be fiscally beneficial to the store to keep warhammer product in stock. Staff also isn't as friendly or helpful as they used to be, kind of stuck up atmosphere, as opposed to last time the guys were so helpful and helped me pick out wich faction I wanted and made tons of helpful suggestions, whereas this time I kind of felt looked down on for searching for warhammer like "nah we don't do that here" vibe. Yea this place sucks now. Definitely won't be back. There's a brand new game store caddy corner to the mall, better prices, and super friendly laid back atmosphere- most importantly they have a decent 40k section. Sure there's no fancy bar, but it's baisically chain store vs local shop some dude opened. I'd rather support the little guy that makes the effort. If Tucson Games and Gadgets doesn't like that they can make a better effort to their customers other than just "thank you". Spend that hobby moolah on someone who works to earn it by serving their customers and meeting...

I brought in a set of cards to get appraised and possibly sell them to this company. However I didn't realize that I was dealing with adult children as employees. I had supplied a starlight rare shooting majestic star dragon card because I wanted to know if it was worth it to get graded. I had given them my collection on Friday (disclaimer they were not organized and they didn't state before hand that they needed to be, I had put all my valuable cards in a tin without documentation clearly won't be doing that again) and didn't receive them or hear anything for 3 days I understand there were a lot of cards and it takes time that is not a problem. After finally receiving my cards and hearing back from them they gave me a list of cards that were worth something and it wasn't on the list. In short I won't be visiting this place anymore they clearly are not trustworthy and there employees don't know how to have an adult conversation without throwing a complete temper tantrum like a toddler, instead of coming up with a solution and or helping me into locating the card because I know it was there, so his immediate response it to storm off. If this is how you run a business then I am surprised this company has made it this far. So if you want to either be ripped off or stolen from this is the...

Janae gave us an awesome grand tour! She was so energetic and bubbly and definitely rolled an 18 in Charisma. This place has it all. There is a Magic the Gathering hangout area, a shop packed with new and used board games and books, D&D minis available to use during campaigns and lots you can buy to take home, a space to play tabletop games, and an actual tavern that any D&D, Warcraft, or Witcher fan will absolutely love. Brad, the bar manager, was super cool too. After the tour he shared all his knowledge about meads, drinks, and snacks that are perfect for any quest. We had a blast talking with him and even bonded over our PvP days. His main was an Alliance mage, but he played a Horde rogue for PvP, so I can forgive him for that! As a disc priest myself, we got to geek out about the glory of well timed CC. Overall, this spot is an absolute gem. It is a must visit for any gamer. They even host Jackbox party nights! We will definitely be back. Shorel’aran until next time!

My favorite place to go with my group of friends in Tucson is Tucson Games and Gadgets’ Tuscon Mall location. I moved away a little over a year ago, and it was at the top of my list to hit up when I came to visit my friends. I bought one of their t-shirts and the 5 of us paid to use one of their game tables in the room right before you enter the short rest tavern bar area. They gave us some poker chips that serve as credit at the bar for paying to use their tables, and my wife and I used the credit to get some mozzarella sticks with ranch and a savory pretzel with mustard to snack on while we played. The selection of games to use at their tables is great, they have loads of fun games and cards to buy, and I always check out their inventory of tabletop rpg and war game supplies. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Tucson👍

I dont play board games much, but the tavern in the back has alot of fun ones. The setting in the tavern is different from what you'd find in Tucson. It has a medieval meets your living room theme. I like bringing friends and family from out of town. Don't buy Bandai model kits here. They over charge significantly. They're charging $450 for a $290 MSRP kit that's currently in print and printed often. They used to charge $400 for a different $290 kit that also gets printed all year long.
