Oriental Chi — Local services in Tucson

I have a membership to a massage place, but I really needed a quick message after hurting my neck from a bad night’s rest. I looked up places nearby that I could go to after eating lunch I planned with a friend. I called Oriental Chi just a couple hours before lunch that day to schedule an appt, and they got me in. It’s in an unusual area and looks a bit shady especially on the outside, but when you’re in there they use clean towels and private rooms. The lights are dimmed and it’s a relaxing environment. I only had a very affordable 30 mins of a message and it helped relieve stress and pain I had. They were very good at what they did. I was only expecting to get my neck and shoulders done but they had me take my top off,privately, of course, and lay on the massage bed because “it’s better.” So, just expect that to happen and if you’re not used to or comfortable with that, it may not be for you. There were also a lot of other workers in another room across and at a diagonal from the room I was in and the masseuse had to go out a couple times so, who knows if they saw me when he went out and in or not. Not really sure how I feel. I kind of feel like this might’ve been a little bit of a bait and switch. When I originally went in it was going to be 20 minutes for around $25 if you did the chair that’s close to the door. But then she offered the table which was 30 minutes for $35. So, that seemed fine to me. I laid down and it’s her and another person and she comes up to me and says it’ll be two of them and she mentioned the 30 minutes and said something afterwards and then I confirmed 30 minutes for $35 and she said yes. But then when I went to pay it was $65. So the gentleman at the register went and got the lady and she showed me on the pricing menu that it’s $30 for 30 min on feet and $35 for back. But I kind of felt like she either wasn’t clear on the total when she came over and spoke to me while on the table or maybe they knew that they were going to try and switch it up. I tried to be fair in my rating but I do feel a little bit deceived. I did pay the $65 and I was hoping to bring my husband back there but now I feel a little hesitant. My advice to you is that make sure you are clear on the pricing before you let them...
