Amazing, One-of- Kind Engagement Ring: My husband and I own five beautiful, fully custom Abby Sparks jewelry pieces between the two us. My husband first made Abby’s acquaintance when searching for an engagement ring for me and since then we can’t imagine purchasing jewelry any other way. Abby is a brilliant artist and develops each design specifically to what you desire and what you didn’t know was possible. In the case of my engagement ring, I had a very specific band style in mind and yet my husband could not find it at any jewelry store, including Tiffany & Co and Hyde Park. Can you imagine going to Tiffany’s and dictating exactly the style, material and design of your ring from initial inception all the way through final outcome? We tried…and definitely did not get the exceptional experience we got with Abby. Abby provides an extremely personalized and custom, not customized, experience that’s unparalleled. She provided thoughtfully laid out design options without overwhelming us with choices, this made the design process a ton of fun and that more meaningful to our engagement and marriage. My husband also appreciated the transparent approach Abby took with stone choices. He felt informed, educated and unbiased every step of the way. There’s absolutely no one else we trust for jewelry other than Abby Sparks.
An Amazing Wedding Band to Compliment an Amazing, Abby Sparks Engagement Ring: Since I was already amazed with my Abby Sparks Designs engagement ring, I trusted Abby implicitly to design a gorgeous wedding band that would both compliment my engagement ring and hold its own if worn separately. I asked Abby and my husband to surprise me because I had, and continue to have, 120% confidence that Abby’s designs will exceed my expectations and wildest dreams (I have confidence in my husband too 😀). Abby is incredibly thoughtful and honest. For example, Abby urged my husband to consider smaller size stones based on my aesthetic and how the two rings would pair together. This turned out to be a brilliant design choice, one that my husband completely agrees with and concedes that if not for Abby’s guidance he likely would not have made. My wedding band is both simple and intricate, elegant on its own yet not overly flashy and, when worn together, sets off my engagement ring beautifully.
A Manly Man’s Wedding Band That’s Both Art Piece and a Masculine Statement: My husband’s wedding band turned out to be much bigger design challenge than my engagement ring because my husband wanted something incredibly unique, yet masculine and in no way glitzy or sparkly. Abby did an amazing job of sketching out a number of options based on what my husband described and brainstormed even more options based on what she interpreted he actually wanted. It turned out, as always, that Abby was spot on. She created much more of a masculine, rugged art piece that simply a wedding band which my husband proudly wears every day – it’s very much a conversation piece for anyone he encounters. What’s most amazing to me is that Abby was able to incorporate a ton of personal touches, such as a love note in Russian script (per my request) and geometric initials on the outside of the ring along with three blue sapphires without sacrificing the masculinity of the ring. My husband is very detail oriented and to this day he loves to examine each side (inside and out) of the ring and see all of our personal details woven in to make our story.
Dazzling Diamond Studs: As a Christmas gift, my husband surprised me with diamond studs from Abby Sparks Designs (I’m very lucky). You would think that diamond studs are pretty much created equal aside from size but that couldn’t be further from the truth with Abby Sparks. The setting really shows off the diamonds and the clarity of the stones really is incredible. As always, my husband felt completely comfortable and confident with Abby’s suggestions and ultimately surprised me with an incredibly present continuing our tradition of turning to Abby for all...
Read moreOh my gosh... I feel like anything I could possibly say wouldn't do the Abby Sparks' team justice.
For those who are planning a surprise proposal like mine was and don't know what to get (my fiancé wanted me to weigh in on what I'd like)... she does something brilliant so you're covered. She gave my fiancé a "decoy" ring to propose with, complete with a lovely box, so he'd have something that day, and then he told me that we'd go together to design the official one after. Even the decoy cubic zirconia ring he gave me at first was classically elegant, and I wore it happily until the real one was ready.
They made every meeting celebratory with glasses of my favorite wines, cozy tea, lots of congratulations, hearing our proposal story, enthusiasm... they're all so welcoming and incredibly fun. The place is beautifully decorated for a modern, creative feel (and super comfy chairs).
Each person I had the pleasure of meeting was so friendly and brilliant. From day 1, I really felt like they "got" me. Abby asked detailed questions about me, how my fiancé and I met, our cultures, what we love to do... and even went through my Pinterest boards with me! (I had a LOT of images... she has the patience of a saint, hah!)
She and her team put in a lot of effort to get to know me and my style, as well as what my fiancé and I find meaningful in our lives, to create a ring that really spoke to us as a couple. I've NEVER seen this level of care and detail. Even if you have NO idea where to start, her questions make it so easy to get clear on what you want to do. She came up with several stunning designs all based on what we talked about. It was SO cool to see those conversations come to life in her sketches.
Speaking of details... wow. My ring ended up being incredibly full of tiny, personal details, and she turned it into something truly magnificent. When I finally saw it, I cried because it was the most BEAUTIFUL thing I had ever seen. Even my fiancé was amazed, and he isn't usually into this stuff. I have a great imagination, but nothing I could picture even came close to the spectacular ring she created.
Throughout the process, Abby was always on time or early with each stage of production, was a great communicator, answered any questions I came up with, and was super encouraging with all my ideas. I really felt like she did everything possible to make the ring of my dreams.
The finished ring is an absolute work of art. I feel like it's the sort of thing you'd find in a museum, labeled as the most treasured piece belonging to a famous queen. She really captured my vision and brought it to life in such exquisite detail. Each ring she makes is one of a kind, and has so much soul in it. You will NEVER EVER EVER find anything close to this in a big-brand store. Ever. Or another designer. If you look at her instagram, you'll see for yourself. No one comes close.
Your beloved is going to wear this for a lifetime... I strongly suggest going to Abby so the one you love gets the wonder and joy each day from the beauty and heart that goes into their ring. It's a powerful and deeply persona way to show your love for a lifetime. Each step of progress will be celebrated, you'll be celebrated, you'll feel truly understood, and you will be absolutely blown away by the magic she creates for you.
Don't even think of going anywhere else, seriously. Abby Sparks is the best experience you can...
Read moreMy fiance` found Abby Sparks while researching artisan jewelers who forge unique wedding bands, using heirloom gems from other settings. Her initial contact with the personnel there lead to working with Maddie. She and Maddie met to discuss the vision for our ideal wedding band creation and to get a feel about the company.
She came back very excited about Abby Sparks and told me her thoughts about them. I was a little standoffish about meeting Maddie and the crew at Abby Sparks since we had settings that had to be disassembled and used within a new design. These settings were a combination of my fiance and my family’s rings from our grandmothers. I was curious to see what they could create in an original design. We decided that my fiance would not see the ring until the moment that I put it on her finger during our ceremony (Sept.6, 2019). She was going to be part of the brainstorming, but after that step back and let Maddie and I create it together.
On the day that we went to meet Maddie, I really enjoyed their space and that they had a liquor cart in the front room. While we didn’t drink, I just liked their style and the layout of their space and design room. Within a few minutes of meeting Maddie, I threw out one of my favorite artists from the art nouveau period, Alphonse Mucha. Maddie knew exactly who I was talking about and within moments had examples of his work on her laptop.
I experienced one of the best collaborations on a personal project, better than I could have ever imagined. It was a true joy. Maddie was detailed and friendly, putting my concerns that I had about turning over such precious rings over to a company at ease. She had vision and understood what we were looking for in the overall design. Even when we asked for the original sketches to start over in a different direction, Maddie produced work that literally excited me throughout every step of the design development process.
Maddie has excellent communication skills and along the way kept me informed of every step that needed to be approved. Simply put it was a phenomenal experience. The final piece, to me, is quite literally a work of art, with nothing else like it that I know exists, a one of a kind. Since I don’t want my fiance to get any further description of the ring, I will sum up my experience with Maddie, Abby Sparks, and how I feel about the ring,...
