What a gem you have downtown Tulsa. We came to town to see Matilda at the Arts Center. We got to the Dilly Diner at 11:50 on a busy Sunday morning and we were told there would be a 30 minute wait. I didn't think that was bad for how delicious everything smelled. We waited a few minutes when they told us they had patio seating available. Bonus! Out we headed and how glad we were that we did. Fun set up outside. Our girls are 12 so they were a little to old for the playhouses. At first. As soon as the other mom went to check them out, off they went too. Did I mention how good everything smelled? It's because it was phenomenal. My daughter got a cinnamon roll and sausage. Best sausage of her life. She said it tasted like a flattened meatball that was fried. It is a huge compliment coming from her. She loves meatballs. Speaking of huge, check out the picture of the roll she got. It was delicious and we took most of it home. My friend had the breakfast tacos and kept raving over them. I had a bite of the potatoes and it melted in my mouth. Her daughter had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Had she been walking in a dark alley with that sandwich I would have stolen it and left her purse. When she broke open the yolk on her egg we all gasped. She had a side of fruit that was spot on. Every bite was delicious. Our server was good. She had no problem with me changing up my order because of my diet restrictions. She never rolled her eyes or huffed like I sometimes get. She went out of her way to get me some more lettuce for my burger and was upfront with what would be extra. All four of us left very full for less than $55. Thanks for an awesome brunch...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. Went here last Saturday with a friend and this place was understandably very busy, so it's expected that wait time with food would take longer. The issue is that we waited for an hour for our food only for the food to have never arrived. There was no update from our waiter about the whereabouts of the food. What made it more frustrating was that after waiting an hour, 3 separate groups of people came in around the same time, got seated and got their food only 15 minutes later from when they first arrived. We decided to leave and talk to the manager. She apologized and said a new order would be made for us to go, on the house as an apology and that she would call in about 10 minutes when the new order was ready. After us waiting for 20-30min. She never called. I wouldn't recommend coming here due to poor communication skills from the manager and the waiter who served us.
Update: I emailed the manager who replied to this to actually see if there would be a solution and she never replied. Can't say I'm not surprised...
Read moreWas in town and decided to give this place a try based on the top reviews. The place is nice and was within walking distance from our downtown hotel. The service was pretty good, even though I got a water glass pulled from an empty table, which had lipstick mark and a chip, didnt bother me but my family more so. Got the chicken and waffles. The Saracha honey sauce for the chicken was delicious, the fried chicken was OK without the sauce. I got the caramel bourbon banana for my waffles and that was great. The rest of the stuff we tried was just on. Pancakes were dense and not fluffy, so it's good for a few bites. The spicy bacon burger was ok, no lettuce and tomatoes, so the burger seemed to lack that burger quality. Got the giant cinnamon roll, it might have been better to have gotten it to eat there. We got it to go, so the frosting was on the side and the the roll was on the burnt side. Quality control might be a little lacking. Prices were pretty good. Overall not a bad place to try, but it's not enough for me...
